Carolyn Ann Sabadosh Burton, age 78 passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025.
Born April 4, 1947 in Chicago, IL to the late Andrew and Jean Sabadosh. Beloved wife of 48 years to Raymond Gerald Burton. Loving mother of Michael (Paige Campbell) Burton and Bradley Burton. Stepmother to Thomas A (the late Mery) Burton. Cherished grandmother of Sophia Burton, Delilah Burton, Tiara Anderson, Luca Burton, and Benjamin Burton. Dearest Sister of Arlene (the late Ray) Engelsman. Aunt of Tracy Cesario, Sherri Cesario, and Cathy Engelsman.
Carolyn completed her Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University in 1969, and her Master of Science in Education from Bradley University in 1973. She worked as a Primary School Teacher from 1969-1977 where she was beloved by her students, and as an Insurance Agent from 1993-2010, first joining her husband Ray’s insurance agency, and then later forming her own agency.
Carol loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She loved activities such as golf, yoga, travelling, and good food. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126, directly followed by a memorial service beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
