AUBREY LYDIA O’BRIEN, 8

AUBREY LYDIA O’BRIEN, 8

Aubrey Lydia O’Brien, who gained her wings on November 8th at just 8 years old due to complications. Aubrey also lived bravely with Mucolipidosis, a rare genetic disorder that made recovery so much harder and added to many more complications throughout her life.

Through it all, Aubrey fought with everything she had. Despite the many challenges she faced, she filled every day with light, laughter, and love. Her bright spirit, contagious smile, and joyful heart touched everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

Aubrey was a beloved and popular student at Manor Hill Elementary and alumni at John Schroeder Early Childhood Center (JSECC). She was well known for having friends throughout the community who loved hearing Aubrey say HI, with her cheerful energy. Her teachers, classmates, and friends adored her and often described her as a ray of sunshine who could brighten even the hardest days. She enjoyed making people smile, laugh and even sometimes scare when she roared at you but that meant she wanted to be silly with you. We will forever love you and miss you. We were truly blessed and honored to have Aubrey in our lives for eight beautiful years. Years in which she taught us the true meaning of strength, love, and resilience. Aubrey’s life, though far too short, left a lasting impression with everyone she came in contact with.

Aubrey will be forever loved and deeply missed by her parents Areli and Colin O’Brien and her sister Gabby O’Brien. Granddaughter of Perry and Sharon O’Brien, Cecia Castro (ita Ceci) and Isnardo Ojeda (Nardo). Niece of Betsy (Luis), Alex, Brian (Cheyenne) Ojeda Castro, William (Karen), James (Jackie), Sean, Peter O’Brien. Cousin of Eleanor, Emi Jo, and soon to be 3rd cousin and by countless family members, friends and community members who loved her dearly.

Though she is no longer with us, her light will continue to shine through all those who were lucky enough to have known her. Aubrey’s spirit will live on in the laughter of her friends, love of her family and the memories that will forever be cherished.
