INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES
The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Criminal damage, trespassing
Oct. 31
A victim in the 300 block of W. North was involved in a road rage incident in which the other driver threw a bottle that damaged the victim’s vehicle.
Oct. 30
A victim in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported at 11:49 a.m. that an unknown person punctured all four tires of her Mazda CX-5.
Oct. 28
An employee in the 400 block of E. Roosevelt advised at 8:53 p.m. that an ex-employee entered the store and demanded money. The ex-employee then smashed a glass sauce dispenser and left the store.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
Nov. 1
A 31-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 1000 block of E. Wilson at 3:59 p.m.
Oct. 31
An employee near E. Roosevelt and S. Highland said two males were fighting outside the store. The two subjects got into an argument while standing in line. Neither party wanted to sign complaints.
Oct. 30
A complainant in the 700 block of E. Pleasant said her juvenile daughter was being bullied by a classmate. The classmate’s mother came to a playground and yelled at the complainant’s daughter to stay away. The complainant wanted to sign complaints.
A complainant in the 2700 block of E. Technology reported at 11:44 p.m. that she had an argument with her two sons and they flushed her credit card down a toilet. The two sons said the argument was only verbal, and that they did not touch her credit card.
Oct. 29
A caller said a subject described as a black male was urinating on the wall of a business in the 900 block of N. DuPage. An officer spoke to the subject, who denied urinating and said he was waiting for his nephew.
A complainant at a business in the 100 block of W. Eisenhower said he laid off an employee who became verbally aggressive with the complainant. The subject refused to speak to an officer and left.
Oct. 28
A 51-year-old Lake Zurich man was charged with domestic battery in the 1000 block of S. Westmore-Meyers at 11:29 p.m.
DUI, transportation of open alcohol, possession of open alcohol
Nov. 3
Claire M. Sellers, 22, of Glendale Heights, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage near N. Route 53 and W. North at 1:20 a.m.
Nov. 2
Bryant Gill 43, of Broadview, was charged with aggravated DUI, DUI, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver, obstructing a police officer, firefighter or correction employee, disobeying a traffic control device, not driving on the right side of the road and no registration plate near Foxworth and I-355 at 1:42 a.m.
Frederick Kohrt, 61, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI-drugs/alcohol, transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver in the 400 block of E. St. Charles at 12:26 a.m.
Nov. 1
Travis Shallcross, 44, of Yorkville, was charged with DUI in the 500 block of S. Edgewood at 12:51 a.m.
Oct. 31
Alberto Filipponi, 46, of Lombard, was charged with DUI and aggravated DUI in the 1100 block of S. Main at 12:59 a.m.
Oct. 29
Melvin L. Wilson Jr., 42 of Joliet, was charged with possession of open alcohol, driving while license suspended, driving with a revoked license, speeding and no insurance near W. North and N. Lincoln in Villa Park at 11:59 p.m.
Fleeing, eluding
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported one incident of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a motorcycle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.
Harassment, threats
Nov. 1
A victim in the 500 block of S. Edgewood reported at 4:45 a.m. that a subject left threatening messages on her voicemail. The subject was advised not to contact the victim.
A complainant at FairyTales Inc., 28 W. St. Charles Road, reported that a customer was sending harassing emails because the complainant would not let the customer return a candy dish she bought.
Oct. 31
A complainant in the 100 block of E. 22nd said that a recently terminated employee was sending threatening emails to the company. The complainant did not want to sign complaints, but wanted the emails to stop. An officer spoke to the subject, who apologized and said he would have no further contact with the complainant.
Identity theft, fraud
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported six incidents of identity theft or fraud between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3.
Suspicious incident
Nov. 1
A complainant in the 100 block of E. Hickory advised at 8:30 a.m. that her wedding ring was missing after a contractor used her bathroom. The contractor admitted to taking the ring and dropping it near a tree in the parkway. A Villa Park police detective located the ring with a metal detector. The ring was returned to the complainant.
Oct. 30
Thomas Hayes, 19, of Lombard, was charged with possession of a firearm with no valid FOID and possession of ammunition with no valid FOID in the 500 block of S. La Londe at 5:45 a.m.
Oct. 29
A police department detective was assigned a case regarding possible inappropriate images that involved children.
Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery
Nov. 3
A victim in the 100 block of S. Lewis reported at 8:26 a.m. that two of his vehicles were rummaged through, two laundry baskets and a pack of cigarettes were taken, and various items were left behind by a subject.
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Chase reported items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle. She and her husband drove the car prior to a report being made.
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported a clothing package was stolen from the entry way of her building. No cameras cover the area in question.
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Lewis reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle. One of the vehicle’s doors had been left open before the purse was stolen.
Oct. 31
A complainant in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest reported someone stole her Harris/Walz sign from her front yard. The complainant wanted the incident documented.
A complainant/witness in the 900 block of E. South Broadway advised that a victim had a package delivered to the complainant/witness’ address, and it was stolen by an unknown subject described as a black male.
Oct. 30
Shea E. O’Doherty, 31, and Matthew J. Doubek, 34, both of Chicago, were charged with burglary and retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 7:47 p.m.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3: Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield, at 7:28 p.m. Oct. 29; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 2:11 p.m. Oct. 30; JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 1:06 p.m. Nov. 1; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 3:07 p.m. Nov. 2; and Target, 60 Yorktown, 5:35 p.m. Nov. 3.
Oct. 28
Kayleigh Shae Rivers, 20, of Wheaton, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:44 p.m.
Warrant arrest
Nov. 3
Police said Floyd Hoskins, 46, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department and processed on a warrant in the 300 block of S. Addison at 5:28 p.m.
Nov. 2
Police said Charles Hansen, 31, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department and processed on a failure to appear warrant in the 100 block of N. Chase at 11:16 a.m.
Oct. 31
Police said Justin G. Winger, 21, of Lombard, turned himself in on an original warrant by the Lombard Police Department at 2:49 a.m.
A 25-year-old Lombard man was issued a warrant for a domestic incident in the 800 block of W. Foxworth at 10:54 p.m.
Oct. 29
An officer advised a subject at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, that she had an outstanding warrant for shoplifting. The subject was transported to a hospital by Lombard Fire Department medics.
