INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES
The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
Sept. 24
Brian Polkow, 57, of Westmont, was charged with aggravated assault in the 800 block of S. Westmore-Meyers at 10:04 a.m.
Sept. 23
An employee in the 2100 block of S. Finley reported that a patient said a nurse touched him inappropriately. The patient did not want to sign complaints, and the employee said she would handle the matter internally.
A complainant in the 1000 block of W. Foxworth reported at 9:37 a.m. that her daughters were touched inappropriately by another juvenile neighbor.
A complainant in the 1000 block of W. Foxworth reported at 11:08 a.m. a sex crime committed by a juvenile against his sister, a juvenile.
Criminal damage, trespassing
Sept. 30
A victim in the 1300 block of S. Finley reported a black Ford Expedition and a Honda CRV were keyed. There is no suspect information or surveillance footage of the incident.
A victim in the 200 block of S. Chase observed at 10:27 p.m. that a yellow liquid had been poured on her vehicle.
Sept. 28
A complainant in the 100 block of E. Le Moyne advised at 7:49 a.m. that an unknown suspect smashed out the rear window of his vehicle.
Sept. 27
A victim in the 800 block of W. Foxworth had an argument with boyfriend, who then broke a TV and mirror with a metal rod. The subject fled the scene.
Sept. 25
An employee at AMC Theater, 80 Yorktown, reported that two subjects who were banned were back on the property. The subjects agreed to remove their tent and other property from the area.
Sept. 24
Ryan Michuda, 41, of Lombard, was issued a local ordinance ticket for criminal trespassing and was trespassed from all Yorktown Mall property at AMC Theater, 80 Yorktown, at 9:11 a.m.
An employee at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley, reported at 2:43 p.m. that someone damaged the concession stand by the baseball field.
Sept. 23
A complainant at Shell, 930 E. Roosevelt, reported a customer was not allowed to use the bathroom, so he “took care of his business” outside the bathroom. An officer advised the subject that he was trespassed from this Shell station.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
Sept. 29
A 36-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of E. Roosevelt at 12:52 a.m.
Sept. 27
A complainant in the 700 block of S. School advised at 10:08 p.m. that unknown juveniles threw three plates at her house. The complainant advised that this was an ongoing issue. The complainant provided police with several names of possible suspects.
Sept. 26
An employee/complainant at Qahwah House, 406 E. Roosevelt, reported at 10:01 p.m. an altercation between five subjects had taken place. The employee/complainant just wanted all of the involved subjects to be removed from the business. The subjects complied and left without further incident.
Sept. 23
A complainant in the 300 block of E. St. Charles said a landscaper kicked a camera in the laundry room and threw a grill at the complainant. The landscaper told police that he adjusted the camera and moved the grill away from the building.
DUI, transportation of open alcohol
Sept. 25
Kristina Ford, 39, of Lombard, was charged with DUI near S. Main and E. Madison at 11:18 a.m.
Fleeing, eluding
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported one incident of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a motorcycle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.
Harassment, threats
Sept. 27
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth advised at 4:26 p.m. of a threatening phone call he received from a subject.
Sept. 26
A complainant in the 100 block of N. Garfield reported at 9:52 p.m. that a subject was sending harassing text messages to her.
Sept. 23
A complainant in the 500 block of E. Washington said his ex-girlfriend is creating fake Facebook accounts of him.
Identity theft, fraud
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported 13 incidents of identity theft or fraud in the village between Sept. 23 and Sept. 30.
Suspicious incident
Sept. 30
An employee at Hollywood Hounds, 613 S. Main, reported that on five occasions, she found broken glass shards and bread inside the yard.
Police said two suspicious pieces of mail were delivered to the Lombard Police Department over the weekend of Sept. 28-Sept. 29.
An employee at hotRAGS, 203 Yorktown, reported an unknown subject described as a white male was saying inappropriate things to her. Mall security will call 911 if the male returns so he can be trespassed from the property.
Sept. 27
Police said Summone Staples, 26, and Lafayett Johnson, 46, both homeless, reported a juvenile missing at 12:35 a.m. at Extended Stay America, 260 E. 22nd. The juvenile was located in a nearby vacated room. Both were charged with endangering the life of a child.
Sept. 25
Two juvenile complainants at Westmore Woods advised of a female juvenile running around in the woods crying. A male subject wearing a mask then met them. The area was checked and no one was located.
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Craig advised at 9:33 p.m. that he was notified that an Apple AirTag was following him. The tag followed them to dinner and back home. The tag was located inside his wife’s purse.
Sept. 23
A caller in the 200 block of W. Willow at 12:15 a.m. found her back door open when she got out of the shower. The residence was checked with no results.
Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery
Sept. 30
A black Hyundai Elantra was stolen at the Lombard Station condominiums in the 100 block of E. Grove. The vehicle was later recovered by the Chicago Police Department.
Sept. 29
An unknown male broke a window of Marberry Cleaners, 200 S. Westmore-Meyers, went inside the business, and was then seen running westbound at 5:15 a.m. The area was canvassed with no results.
A complainant in the 200 block of E. 22nd advised that her aunt stole one of the complainant’s lock box keys to her safe deposit box at a BMO bank in Berwyn.
A complainant in the 300 block of W. Graham reported that three individuals took a street sign from the corner of his yard.
Sept. 26
A victim in the 800 block of E. 22nd reported that a subject took his snow plow.
Sept. 25
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Highland reported someone stole 30-year-old patio chairs and a glider sometime during the previous week.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between Sept. 23 and Sept. 30: Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield, at 11:33 a.m. Sept. 24; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 2:39 p.m. Sept. 26; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 2:49 p.m. Sept. 27; and Target, 60 Yorktown, at 2:44 p.m. and 3:29 p.m. Sept. 30.
Sept. 30
Nicholas R. Dillon, 18, of Lombard, was issued a citation for retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 8:49 p.m.
Michaele J. Doherty, 53, of La Grange Park, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 3:23 p.m.
Sept. 29
Daniel Enrique Moreno-Varela, 18, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 5:40 p.m.
Sept. 27
Courtney Manesh, 36, of West Lafayette, Indiana, was issued a local ordinance citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 4:06 p.m.
Sept. 25
Tia Starcevic, 49, of Calumet City; Amanda Wilkin, 29, of Gary, Indiana, and a juvenile were charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 23
Mehkusina Saad Chaudhry, 29, of Downers Grove, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 5:55 p.m.
Gary Zimmerman, 65, of Oakbrook Terrace, was issued a notice to appear citation at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 4:25 p.m.
Warrant arrest
Sept. 25
Police said Priscilla Putterlick, 39, and Jason Puterlik, 44, both of Lyons, were involved in a verbal altercation with other patrons at Benihana, 747 E. Butterfield, at 9:43 p.m. Police said. Puterlik had a warrant out of Cook County; he was transported to the Lombard Police Department, processed and released on bond. Putterlick was charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest.
Sept. 23
Police said Deborah Boc, 52, of Villa Park, was transported to the DuPage County Jail for an outstanding failure to appear warrant near S. Main and E. Parkside at 2:15 p.m. Boc also received citations for driving while license revoked, no insurance, expired registration and two counts of a child restraint violation.
Joel M. Villegas, 53, of Lombard, was processed on a warrant in the 700 block of E. South Broadway at 8:39 p.m. and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
