INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES
The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
July 27
A complainant advised she was sexually assaulted in the 100 block of E. 14th at 6:15 a.m. The complainant went to an area hospital for a sexual assault exam.
July 24
Two victims in the 2200 block of S. Highland advised that they were at the residence of a subject to complete some maintenance to the unit. While they were in the unit, the subject displayed a firearm.
A victim in the 2200 block of S. Fountain Square advised that she was poisoned and sexually assaulted.
July 21
There was an altercation reported between four subjects in the 400 block of E. 22nd at 1:43 a.m.
Criminal damage, criminal trespassing
July 27
Ravi Shah, 45, of Lombard, was charged with criminal damage to government property and violation of an order of protection in the 300 block of N. Westwood at 4:49 a.m.
July 24
An employee at Four Seasons Park, 1600 S. Finley, advised of damage to the slides.
July 22
A complainant in the 1000 block of N. Rohlwing reported an unknown male subject keyed her car while she was at work.
July 20
A complainant in the 600 block of E. View advised that the rear window of his father’s work van was smashed while the vehicle was parked in the driveway overnight.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
July 27
A 39-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of W. St. Charles at 4:55 a.m.
July 26
Christopher Campbell, 46, of Lombard, was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct after police said he urinated in front of a residence in the 100 block of E. Sunset at 5:28 p.m.
July 25
A 33-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery and violation of bail bond in the 2100 block of S. Finley at 1:42 p.m.
July 23
A 66-year-old Lombard woman and a 50-year-old Lombard man were charged with domestic battery in the 1-100 block of N. Park at 1:22 a.m.
July 22
A 26-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 400 block of N. Craig Place at 12:04 p.m.
DUI
July 26
Johan De La Paz Herrera, 24, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and no insurance near W. North and N. Lincoln at 1:29 a.m.
Jeremy J. Mitchell, 29, of Clewiston, Florida, was charged with DUI, transportation of open alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage near E. Roosevelt and S. School at 1:05 a.m.
July 24
Samuel Noordhoek, 19, of Wheaton, was charged with DUI near Roosevelt and Main at 11:12 p.m.
July 23
Jahlanda P. Goins, 28, of West Chicago, was charged with DUI in the 2100 block of S. Highland at 4:48 a.m.
July 21
Marquese Turner, 27, of Rockford, was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license near Roosevelt and School at 3:15 a.m.
Fleeing, eluding
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported one incident of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a vehicle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.
Harassment, threats
July 23
A complainant in the 100 block of N. Garfield advised that after trying to coordinate with a subject to drop off her belongings, she received a threatening phone call from an unknown female.
Identity theft, fraud, forgery
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported four incidents of identity theft or fraud in which a victim’s identity was fraudulently used either to make charges on a credit card, open a business, bank or credit account, fraudulently deposit checks, alter a check, receive unemployment benefits—or a victim was convinced by a subject to deposit money into an account, send a check, or to buy gift cards.
Road rage
July 21
A complainant near E. Roosevelt and S. Fairfield reported at 5:30 p.m. that the driver of a white Toyota Camry beeped at her, threw something at her car, and yelled at her at the next red light.
Suspicious incident
July 27
A complainant near Chase and Maple advised of a white ice cream truck driven by one male with two male passengers. The complainant reported that the subjects in the truck did not appear to be normal. The truck was gone prior to an officer’s arrival.
July 24
A complainant in the 200 block of W. Central advised that her juvenile daughter was receiving money from an ex-in law in exchange for photos.
July 23
A complainant in the 500 block of S. Fairfield reported seeing a male juvenile with a gun. The juvenile left the area on a scooter.
July 22
A complainant in the 2300 block of S. Fountain Square advised of finding bones in the parkway. He was unsure if the bones were human. The coroner was contacted and determined the bones were animal bones.
A caller in the 400 block of E. St. Charles reported a gunshot at 9:58 p.m. No one was observed in the park upon on officer’s arrival.
July 20
A complainant at Lincoln Place, 1 S. Lincoln, advised of a possible homeless male continuously trying to gain entry to the building. The subject was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery
July 26
A complainant near Route 53 and W. North reported at 2:49 a.m. that an employee left the business with two copper coils. The complainant believed the employee has stolen a large amount of material over the last three months.
A complainant at Redline Metals, 901 N. DuPage, advised at 1:19 p.m. that a large amount of copper, steel and copper wiring had been stolen from the business.
July 24
An employee of a company advised that a person from another company failed to repay a loan after attempting to make payments with two checks from an account that did not have sufficient funds.
July 22
A complainant in the 1100 block of S. Finley reported that a subject did not pay her $46 taxi fare. The subject could not be located.
July 19
A black Nissan was reported stolen near W. 22nd and Main at 11:30 a.m. The vehicle was recovered in Chicago.
A complainant in the 1300 block of S. Finley advised at 9:55 p.m. that a subject and two unknown subjects described as black males attempted to rob him.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between July 19 and July 27: Champs, 112 Yorktown, at 3:48 p.m. July 24; and Zumiez, 203 Yorktown, at 7:14 p.m. July 25.
July 26
Maria Ayala, 52, of Santa Rosa, California, and a juvenile were issued citations for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 8:40 p.m.
Alex Lujano Jr., 25 (residence not given), was charged with retail theft and resisting or obstructing a police officer at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 8:37 a.m.
Felicia Mayon, 33, of Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft at Target, 60 Yorktown, at 12:38 p.m.
July 25
Melissa Shannon, 32, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 6:03 p.m.
July 21
Vera Denic, 71, of Addison, was issued a citation for retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 1:51 p.m.
July 20
Vanessa Garcia, 34, of Chicago, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 6:33 p.m.
Warrant arrest
July 26
Police said Gerald Tyson, 65, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, was served with a warrant for DUI at 12:51 p.m.
July 24
Police said Carlos Licona, 29, of Lombard, was found to be wanted on a warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office in the 1300 block of S. Rebecca at 8:47 p.m.
Police said that Rodolfo Vaca, 37, of Chicago, was transported to the DuPage County Jail from Cook County after he was found to be wanted on a warrant.
