INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES
The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.
Assault, battery
Aug. 2
A victim in the 100 block of W. St. Charles advised he was punched by an unknown subject at 8:46 p.m.
July 31
An altercation occurred between a subject and a victim at Extended Stay America, 260 E. 22nd, at 11:59 p.m.
July 29
A complainant at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, reported an assault by a subject that occurred months ago.
Criminal damage, criminal trespassing
Aug. 3
A complainant in the 100 block of Eastview reported damage to his property by a subject.
July 31
A subject was in the food court at Yorktown Shopping Center at 7:51 p.m. after being banned earlier in the day. The subject refused assistance and left the area.
July 30
A complainant at Embassy Suites, 707 E. Butterfield, reported a female in the lobby refusing to leave. The subject agreed to leave the hotel and she was advised by an officer not to return.
July 28
A complainant at McDonald’s, 1 Yorktown, advised at 9:27 a.m. that a subject described as a white male was bothering customers. The subject was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
A complainant in the 1300 block of S. Finley advised an unknown subject attempted to break into his vehicle, causing damage.
Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance
Aug. 3
A 26-year-old Chicago man was charged with domestic battery in the 300 block of W. St. Charles at 10:46 p.m.
Aug. 2
A complainant at Fifth Third Bank, 96 Yorktown, reported a group of five male juveniles were chasing after a victim. All of the juveniles were trespassed from the Yorktown Shopping Center for one year.
A 31-year-old Glen Ellyn woman was charged with DUI and domestic battery in the 700 block of S. Norbury at 11:05 p.m.
Aug. 1
A complainant at LA Fitness, 575 E. Roosevelt, said that a subject exposed himself. The subject was given a verbal trespass warning.
A victim near Roosevelt and Stewart advised that a subject threw a drink at his vehicle and pointed a gun at him after trying to merge in traffic. The subject was not located.
July 31
Dakota Gentile, 24, of Lombard, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct at Shell, 930 E. Roosevelt, at 11:41 p.m.
A 21-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, was charged with domestic battery, obstructing identification, resisting a police officer, unlawful use of weapons and possession of ammunition in the 100 block of S. Park at 8:10 a.m. Police said a victim was dropping off the subject at the Metra station in Lombard. While still in her car, the subject became upset and battered her. The subject then fled. Officers located the subject, gave chase and arrested him in the area. Police said a gun and ammunition were located on the subject.

A 28-year-old Lombard woman was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of W. Willow at 1:55 a.m.
July 28
A 34-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 100 block of W. Arboretum at 12:54 p.m.
DUI
Aug. 4
Mohammed Viqhar Uddin, 28, of Chicago, was charged with DUI, driving a motor vehicle on a sidewalk and illegal transportation of alcohol near S. Ahrens and E. Roosevelt at 1:22 a.m.
Aug. 3
Kyle Orive, 25, of Rolling Meadows, was charged with DUI near S. Finley and W. Roosevelt at 2:26 a.m.
Aug. 1
Lamees Aburas, 18, of Villa Park, was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to report an accident near Harrison and Finley at 4:32 p.m.
July 28
Jasmine Carrasco, 37, of Chicago, was issued a citation for possession of alcohol by a passenger, while Melissa Velez, 35, of Lombard, was charged with DUI and speeding near Wilson and Apple at 12:33 p.m.
Roxanne Hanney, 61, of Lombard, was charged with DUI in the 300 block of E. Roosevelt at 9:45 a.m.
Adrian Mendez Jr., 19, of Lombard, was charged with aggravated DUI, driving while license suspended, obstructing identification, resisting a police officer and speeding 35 mph or more over the speed limit near E. Emerson and S. Westmore Meyers at 8:35 p.m.
Fleeing, eluding
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported one incident of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a vehicle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.
Harassment, threats
Aug. 5
A complainant in the 2200 block of S. Highland advised that a subject has been harassing her. Both were advised to stay away from each other.
A complainant in the 100 block of W. 20th advised of being harassed on a social media site.
Aug. 1
A complainant in the 1700 block of S. La Londe received numerous calls and texts from a subject threatening “consequences” if he doesn’t pay a fine. Extra patrols will be conducted in the area.
A complainant in the 100 block of W. Ash reported at 11:14 p.m. that a subject has been calling her continuously from different numbers.
Identity theft, fraud, forgery
According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported eight incidents of identity theft or fraud in which a victim’s identity was fraudulently used either to make charges on a credit card, open a business, bank or credit account, fraudulently deposit checks, alter a check, receive unemployment benefits—or a victim was convinced by a subject to deposit money into an account, send a check, or to buy gift cards.
Suspicious incident
Aug. 2
There was a report of a male subject flashing gang signs at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, at 11:17 a.m. The subject was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
July 30
A complainant in the 500 block of S. Grace reported a male riding a bicycle down the street. The complainant advised she heard her side door handle jiggle while she was in the shower and noticed someone wrote “Hi” in chalk near the side door. The complainant wanted the incident documented and requested an extra patrol.
July 27
A complainant near Chase and Maple advised of a white ice cream truck driven by one male with two male passengers who did not appear to be normal. The truck was gone prior to an officer’s arrival.
Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery
Aug. 5
A juvenile was charged with retail theft and resisting arrest at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 1:32 p.m.
An employee at Honey Berry Café, 203 Yorktown, advised subjects left without paying their bill.
Aug. 1
Iriana Salas-Cedeno, 27, of Harvey, as charged with obstructing identification in the 2700 block of E. Technology at 6:14 p.m.
A complainant in the 700 block of E. Butterfield advised that a laptop was stolen.
A victim in the 100 block of N. Park advised that property was stolen by a subject.
A victim in the 500 block of N. West was advised that an unknown subject filed for unemployment using the victim’s name.
Retail theft
The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between July 28 and Aug. 5: Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main, at 7:58 a.m. July 30; Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 3:37 p.m. July 31; and Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 5:53 p.m. Aug. 5.

Mohammad Ayaz, 39, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with retail theft and obstructing identification at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:25 p.m.
Aug. 3
Marcus Hale, 30, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 7:48 p.m.
Aug. 2
Emperatriz Rodriguez, 45, of Cicero, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 8:11 p.m.
July 31
A juvenile was issued a citation for retail theft at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 810 E. Butterfield, at 10:43 a.m.
July 29
A juvenile was issued a local ordinance violation for retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 2:12 p.m.
July 28
A juvenile was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 12:54 p.m.
Violation of bail bond
July 30
Raphael Alvarado, 50, and Valerie Scoville, 66, both of Lombard, were charged with violation of bail bond in the 1-100 block of N. Park at 10 p.m.
Violation of conceal carry act
July 29
Police said Jose A. Martinez, 38, of Addison, turned himself in on a violation of the conceal carry act in the 800 block of S. Main at 8:38 a.m.
Warrant arrest
July 29
Police said Borislav Savic, 38, of Glen Ellyn, was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await extradition on an out of state warrant at 5:14 a.m.
