Lombard police report—July 4

INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.

Arson

June 20
Rochelle Owens, 68, of Lombard, was charged with aggravated arson in the 1000 block of E. Division at 5:03 p.m.

Criminal damage, criminal trespassing

June 24
A complainant in the 200 block of S. Westmore-Meyers advised her vehicle was keyed.

June 23
A complainant near E. Lilac and Bradley reported some items outside the Lombard Falcons youth football program’s equipment shed had been damaged.

June 21
A complainant at the Yorktown Shopping Center wanted to make a report of two wooden tables in the eatery with carvings on them.
Yorktown security advised at 10:29 p.m. of offensive symbols scratched into bathroom toilet seats.

June 19
A complainant in the 200 block of S. Westmore-Meyers believes that her husband’s ex-wife is responsible for the damage to her mailbox and security cameras.

Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance

June 22
A 54-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 1100 block of W. Whitehall at 2:52 p.m.

June 19
A complainant in the 100 block of E. Grove advised his ex-wife was at the front door trying to make contact with him. An officer confirmed with the complainant that he wanted her trespassed from his property. The officer advised her to stop contacting him and issued her a trespass warning.

DUI
June 21
Marco Amador-Colindres, 26, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with DUI, expired plates, illegal transportation of alcohol and no insurance near W. Roosevelt and S. Main at 12:51 a.m.

Alberto Mendoza, 28, of Lombard, was issued citations for DUI, criminal damage to property, failure to give information to an owner after striking property, driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, driving too fast/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving on a sidewalk, expired plates and no insurance near N. Main and W. North at 11:37 p.m.

June 20
Ashton Miller, 20, of Lombard, was charged with DUI near Main and Maple at 1:16 a.m.

June 19
Donnie Ingram, 32, of Wheaton, was charged with DUI near W. Manor Hill and S. Finley at 12:59 a.m.

Fleeing, eluding

According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported two incidents of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a vehicle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.

Identity theft, fraud, forgery

According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported eight incidents of identity theft or fraud in which a victim’s identity was fraudulently used either to make charges on a credit card, open a business, bank or credit account, fraudulently deposit checks, alter a check, receive unemployment benefits—or a victim was convinced by a subject to deposit money into an account, send a check, or to buy gift cards.

Road rage

June 18
A complainant near North and Grace advised a male white subject driving a gray Nissan began following her after he honked his horn and “brake-checked” her. The owner of the vehicle the subject was driving advised she would tell him to contact the Lombard Police Department.

Suspicious incident

June 24
A complainant in the 2200 block of S. Main reported that a patient had started to stalk him. The patient is now showing up at his practice and waiting by his car.
A complainant in the 800 block of W. Foxworth reported at 9:14 p.m. that two males pulled on his door knob. He confronted them and they left. Officers checked the area with no results.

June 23
Police said officers observed someone in a vehicle take a photo of them, and then speed through a stop sign near S. Grace and E. Wilson at 10:37 p.m. Three occupants were in possession of open alcohol and vape pouches. The contraband was seized and no citations were issued.
Police said officers attempted to make contact with a male subject in the 1300 block of S. Finley, whom officers believe jumped from his balcony to a neighbor’s balcony when he realized officers were there.
Police said that housekeeping at Embassy Suites, 707 E. Butterfield, located a gun in a room. The room is registered to a woman, who advised that her son had stayed in the room. An officer spoke with her son, who advised that the gun is not his. The gun was inventoried.

June 22
A victim near S. Park and Michael McGuire Drive advised of a group of approximately five kids walking toward him when a juvenile bumped into him and accused the victim of having a gun. An officer spoke with the juvenile’s mother, who advised her daughter related that she was pushed by the victim.

June 20
A caller reported that a subject described as a white male was touching cars and their gas tanks. Police made contact with the subject and advised him to go home.

June 18
A caller in the 1100 block of E. Addison reported a red Nissan was sitting in his driveway for roughly 20 minutes. The driver then moved the Nissan to a different driveway when the caller approached it. The vehicle was gone upon an officer’s arrival.
A caller near N. Craig and E. Berkshire advised at 10:24 p.m. of kids in a black Honda CRV taking trash cans. The area was checked with no results; multiple trash cans were observed in the street.

Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery

June 24
Alexandra Ditomasso, 37, of Chicago, was issued a citation for theft at the Westin, 70 Yorktown, at 4:45 a.m.
A complainant in the 2000 block of S. Finley reported an envelope containing his new credit card was stolen from the mail room, activated, and used multiple times without his permission.

June 23
Ryan Cuccinotto, 18, of Lombard, was issued citations for possession of a fictitious ID and disobeying a traffic control device in the 300 block of E. Parkside at 10:08 p.m.

June 22
A complainant in the 100 block of S. Chase advised she could not locate her Amazon package that was confirmed delivered on June 19.
A complainant at Public Storage, 800 E. Roosevelt, advised that her storage unit lock was cut and items were missing.

June 21
A complainant reported that he dropped his money clip without realizing it at LA Fitness, 575 W. Roosevelt. When he retrieved it, his money was missing.

June 20
A complainant at Tsuki Sushi, 1005 E. St. Charles, advised they believe they received a counterfeit $100 bill and wanted an officer to look at it.

June 18
A victim in the 100 block of W. Sunset reported at 8:55 p.m. that someone stole his mobility scooter.

Retail theft

The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between June 18 and June 24: KidCo, 216 Yorktown, at 2:54 June 20; and Lombard Liquors, 420 W. 22nd, at 7:24 p.m. June 21.

June 24
Megan Houston, 28, of Chicago, was issued a citation for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 11:32 a.m.
A juvenile was transported to the Lombard Police Department, charged with retail theft and possession of tobacco by a minor at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 3:25 p.m., and released to parent.

June 21
Brad Lewis, 26, of Chicago, was issued citations for retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 2:53 p.m.
Kenyo Warren Pruitt, 47, of Glendale, Arizona, was charged with retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 12:46 p.m.

June 20
Mariam Wallizada, 47, of Jacksonville, Florida, was charged with retail theft, burglary and obstructing identification at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 3:52 p.m.

Warrant arrest

June 24
Police said Gregory Jones, 59, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department on a warrant in the 1300 block of S. Finley at 12:03 a.m.
June 23
Police said Arcazha Johnson, 25, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department and processed on a warrant at 8:31 p.m.
Police said Angela Saccomanno, 41, of Lombard, was transported to the Lombard Police Department on a warrant at 1:02 a.m.

June 20
Police said Sergio Lopez, 22, of Glen Ellyn, was transported to the Lombard Police Department and processed on a Cook County warrant.
Police said Vincent Munyon, 32, of Lombard, was arrested on a warrant at 1:48 a.m.
Daniel Tribune, 31, of Chicago, had a Lombard Police Department original warrant for deceptive practice.

June 19
Police said Nicole Buttera, 40 (homeless), was transported to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant.

Police said Isaiah Hughes, 28, of Chicago, was charged with DUI and disorderly conduct and then transported to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant.

June 18
Police said Amercica Hernandez, 27, of West Chicago, was located and served an original Lombard warrant for theft and wire fraud.
