An Elmhurst Police Department evidence technician exits the back entrance at US Bank on the corner of York and Valette Streets at 6:oo p.m. on Thursday, June 13. At approximately 3:25 p.m. Elmhurst Police responded to a bank robbery that occurred minutes earlier. The suspect is described as a male, in his 20’s, 6 feet tall, average build, wearing a gray face mask, dark baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark blue backpack. The suspect was last seen exiting the north door into the parking lot. The suspect was reported to be armed with a handgun.
Police have searched and the suspect is no longer in the immediate area. Anyone with information or video that may assist the investigation is asked to call Elmhurst Police at (630) 530-3050.
