Lombard police report—June 20

INFORMATION TAKEN FROM LOMBARD POLICE FILES

The Lombard Police Department recently reported the following arrests and citations. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17 or younger are not named.

Battery

June 7

Terry Lewis, 24, of Villa Park was charged with battery in the 100 block of W. Roosevelt at 2:45 p.m.

June 4

A physical altercation occurred between complainants and an unknown suspect in the 1200 block of S. Lloyd at 8:21 p.m.

Criminal damage, criminal trespassing

June 8

Police said a subject in the 700 block of W. Roosevelt clipped his girlfriend with his car and left the area.

June 5

A complainant/employee at the Secretary of State’s office, 837 S. Westmore, advised that a subject was upset about his wait time and kicked a door, breaking the door mount.

June 3

An employee at Helen Plum Library, 411 S. Main, advised at 9:35 a.m. that a subject who recently caused a disturbance had returned to the library. The subject was located and trespassed from the library for one year.

The owner of a residence in the 100 block of S. Park reported a trail of blood leading to a broken window. Nothing appeared to be missing. A juvenile subject was identified. No complaints are to be signed.

A complainant at Oki Spa, 1196 S. Main, reported a back window was broken and a male subject tried to enter the business through it.

Domestic battery, disorderly conduct, domestic incident, dispute, disturbance

June 9

Camilo Andres, Gutierrez Albarran, 25, of Chicago, was charged with DUI, open alcohol, unlawful display of registration, speeding and no insurance near E. Roosevelt and S. Garfield at 3:58 a.m.

Omar Angel-Rosalez, 29, of Wheaton, was charged with DUI, no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage, improper lighting and no insurance near N. Route 53 and W. North at 1:51 a.m.

June 7

A 31-year-old man from Kenosha, Wisconsin, was charged with domestic battery near E. 22nd and S. Highland at 10:59 p.m.

A complainant in the 200 block of E. 22nd reported at 12:45 a.m. that a subject battered her. The complainant had visible facial injuries and blood on her arm. A warrant was obtained for the subject.

June 6

A complainant in the 900 block of S. Norbury advised at 8:53 a.m. that a subject came out of his residence and began yelling about the complainant’s dog urinating on bushes near his yard. The complainant advised he went home and observed the subject pull up in his vehicle to his residence. The subject then exited his vehicle and yelled at the complainant.

June 4

A 39-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery in the 2200 block of S. Stewart at 1:11 a.m.

June 3

A 21-year-old Chicago woman was charged with domestic battery in the 1100 block of S. Main at 7:40 p.m.

DUI, DUI-drugs, transportation of open alcohol, possession of open alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor, selling alcohol to a minor

June 9

Mac Johnson, 35, of Lombard, was charged with DUI in the 100 block of S. 3rd at 5:50 p.m.

June 6

Quinton Cager, 37, of Lombard, was charged with DUI and speeding near Meyers and Washington at 1:33 a.m.

Fleeing, eluding

According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported two incidents of fleeing and eluding during which the driver of a vehicle fled the scene after being stopped for a traffic stop by police.

Harassment, threats

June 4

A victim and witness in the 100 block of S. Highland reported receiving threats from a subject. The victim advised she only wanted the incident reported and did not want the subject contacted.

Identity theft, fraud, forgery

According to information provided by the Lombard Police Department, police reported nine incidents of identity theft or fraud in which a victim’s identity was fraudulently used either to make charges on a credit card, open a business, bank or credit account, fraudulently deposit checks, alter a check, receive unemployment benefits—or a victim was convinced by a subject to deposit money into an account, send a check, or to buy gift cards.

Possession of cannabis

June 8

Giovanni Rodriguez, 32, of Wheaton, was issued a citation for possession of adult use cannabis in a vehicle near S. Finley and W. Roosevelt at 3:04 a.m.

Suspicious incident

June 7

A caller reported three teenage males he believed to be suspicious were ready to engage in criminal activity at Lombard Lagoon, 430 Marcus. The area was checked by an officer, and the males were gone upon the officer’s arrival.

June 5

A complainant in the 800 block of E. South Broadway advised at 10:25 p.m. of receiving two phone calls from an unknown person requesting pictures of his wife and daughter. An officer tried to make contact with the number, but was unable to reach anyone.

June 3

A complainant near Roosevelt and Luther reported at 5:12 p.m. that he followed three men he felt were acting strangely. No subjects matching the complainant’s description were located in the area.

Theft, burglary, attempted theft or burglary, forgery, deceptive practice, obstruction, robbery

June 9

A complainant in the 1000 block of S. Westmore-Meyers advised his work truck was burglarized while parked in the lot the previous night.

June 8

Brandon Roche, 30, of Elgin, was charged with obstructing identification in the 500 block of W. North at 9:04 a.m.

June 4

A complainant at Lilacia Park advised that an unknown suspect took his scooter from the park.

A caller in the 500 block of E. Roosevelt advised that their electric bike was stolen.

June 3

A victim in the 200 block of E. Taylor reported that she left her purse on her husband’s truck by accident. The purse was later located, minus her wallet and its contents.

A victim at Jewel-Osco, 1177 S. Main, reported her wallet its and contents were missing after checking out at the store.

Retail theft

The Lombard Police Department reported the following incidents of retail theft or attempted retail theft that took place in the village between June 3 and June 9: JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 2:31 p.m. June 4; Target, 60 Yorktown, at 3:42 p.m. June 4; Vape Star Gallery, 1051 E. St. Charles, at 7:16 p.m. June 4; Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 1:35 p.m. June 7; and Target, 60 Yorktown, at 4:58 p.m. June 7.

June 9

Mohamed Atik, 54, of Alsip, was issued a citation for retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 5:32 p.m.

June 6

Anna Zimmerman, 39, of Downers Grove, was charged with felony retail theft at Von Maur, 145 Yorktown, at 1:13 p.m.

June 3

A juvenile was charged with retail theft at JCPenney, 175 Yorktown, at 7:51 p.m. and released to a family member.

Violation of an order of protection

June 9

Carlos Marcos, 43, of Addison, was charged with violation of an order of protection at a church in the 300 block of N. Stewart at 11:22 a.m.

Warrant arrest

June 8

Police said Christopher De La Pena, 34, and Joseph De La Pena, 33, both of Chicago, were transported to the Lombard Police Department on in-jurisdiction warrants in the 500 block of W. North at 9:04 a.m.

June 7

Police said Jeffery Flandro, 31, of Lombard, was processed on a warrant near S. Route 53 and Madison at 12:05 p.m.

June 4

Police said Alicia Daniels, 36, of Romeoville, was picked up from the North Aurora Police Department, processed at the Lombard Police Department on a warrant and then taken to DuPage County Jail for bond court.

June 3

Police said Jacob A. Esparza, 32 (homeless), was transported to the DuPage County Jail on a warrant.
