Jim Breedlove, age 66, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of January 18th, 2024. He joins his late parents, Herb and Margaret Breedlove, as well as his brother Fred Breedlove and nephew Christopher Breedlove. He is the beloved husband of Barbara Breedlove (nee Fremgen.) He is the cherished father of Katherine and Samuel Breedlove. He is the loving brother of Judy Sanders and Warren (Pamela) Breedlove. He is the dearest uncle of Jeff Sanders and his daughter, Erin Sanders. Lisa Simpson, the cat, will dearly miss him as well.
Born in Virginia, Jim moved with his family to Chicago and lived there his whole life. Growing up, Jim worked his way through life as a Chicago heating and air conditioning specialist and owned his business with his brother. He met Barbara while working at Chicago Lakeshore Hospital. They lived in the city for many years before moving to Elmhurst. He retired to a quiet life of periodically fishing, making the best sandwiches, and becoming a movie connoisseur – watching them religiously every night with family. He has always been a wonderful family man and will be dearly missed.
A visitation was held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 S. Spring Rd. Elmhurst, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Visitation Catholic Church.
