On Tuesday, Nov. 14, the Elmhurst Centre for Performing Arts (ECPA) was awarded a DuPage County Small Non-Profit Grant.
County Board members Cindy Cronin Cahill and Sam Tornatore were on hand to present a check for $25,000 to representatives from ECPA.
Thirty-seven organizations were awarded up to $25,000 with more than $650,000 distributed to organizations throughout DuPage County at a morning reception that included a meet-and-greet of County officials.
“We are very grateful to Greg Schwarze for creating this grant and for the funding that will greatly impact ECPA and our programming,” said Laura Michaud, ECPA Board secretary and founding member. “We are pleased to be recognized as not only a creative entity in the western suburbs but also an economic engine, driving residents and visitors alike into local businesses before and after our programming and campaigns.
“This grant will be put to good use as we continue to grow our newest series, ‘An Intimate Evening with…’ and invite notable performing artists to the western suburbs.”
The ECPA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to building a state-of-the-art venue for live music, theatre, dance, comedy, and other events. For more information, contact Shawna Roubitchek at [email protected].
