In 1961, Elmhurst YMCA introduced its outdoor ice rink, the first in Illinois with a youth hockey league. Today, they still host hockey leagues for all ages and are dedicated to teaching skating. On Friday, Sept. 15, representatives from the York Hockey Club presented a $2500 check to the Elmhurst YMCA to be used for the maintenance and upkeep of their outdoor rink.
