On Election night, Tuesday, April 4, City officials – former and current – came out to Elmhurst Brewing Company to join First Ward Alderman Jennifer Veremis (3rd from left), who handily beat her two opponents at the polls by a vote of 866-494 over Engy Sutherland (unofficial). A third candidate Rhian Carl Fazzini, a COD student running for college credit, garnered just 38 votes. Many races were too close to call.
