RICHARD A. FUDALA
Richard Anthony Fudala, age 53 of Packwaukee, Wisconsin (formerly of Lombard, Illinois), passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 4, 2022 at his home.
Richard was born in Chicago on January 6, 1969, to Richard J. and Marie (McCarthy) Fudala. He graduated from Madam Curie High School in Chicago and went into the United States Navy, proudly serving his country. Following his time in service, Richard became a carpenter. He married Daryl “Dee” Wilson on December 28, 2001, and in 2009 they retired to Florida and in 2015 relocated to Packwaukee.
Richard was an avid fisherman, but his proudest title was grandpa; he cherished the time he got to spend with his grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Dee, son, Justin (Natalie) and grandsons: Max, Mason and Montgomery, step-son, Alex VanAnrooy and niece, Holly Wilson. He is also survived by his mother, Marie (James) Bastounes, father, Richard J. (Arlean), sisters: Debby (Tom) Usher and Diane (Shawn Harper) Banks, brother-in-law, Todd (Tanya) Wilson as well as other extended family members.
Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Fudala.
In honor of Rich, two celebrations of his life will be held: January 7, 2023, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Moose Lodge #2350, 328 W. Roosevelt Road, Lombard, IL, and January 21, 2023, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Rod’s Trading Post, W5920 Lake Street, Packwaukee.

Judy M. Holmes, née Graff, age 80, lifelong resident of Lombard, died Dec. 7, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Allan R. LaPorte, age 81, of Lombard and West Chicago, died Dec. 11, 2022, at Central DuPage Hospital.

RONALD A. MUELLER
Ronald Arthur Mueller, 77, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2022, at 6:15 a.m. Ron, formerly of Lombard, Illinois, died surrounded by family at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina.
Ron was an alumnus of St. John’s Lutheran School and a member of the Class of 1963 at Glenbard East High School. He was the brother of Lombard resident, Robert H. (Bob) Mueller.
His visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel, 1070 W. Fremont St. Galesburg, Illinois, with funeral services on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Galesburg Covenant Church, 1520 Jefferson Street, Galesburg. Burial with military rites will follow in Warren County Hope Cemetery, near Galesburg.

PATRICK JOSEPH “PJ” O’CONNOR III
Patrick Joseph “PJ” O’Connor III, age 86, formerly of Villa Park, IL. Beloved husband of 63 years to MaryAnn O’Connor, née Morman; loving father of Noreen (Carson) Peyatt, Kelly (Steven) Meadows, Coleen (Patrick) Carroll, Patrick (Michelle), Timothy (Nicole), Kevin (Susan), Erin, Shaun, Shannon (Matthew) Ferris, Courtney, and Ryan (Dahlia). Dear son of the late Mae, née Janik, and the late Patrick J. O’Connor Jr; devoted grandfather of 30; great-grandfather of 10; fond “brother” of Dr. Roderick Malone; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Marmion Military Academy (R ‘54) and Loyola University (‘58), PJ spent over 40 years in the insurance industry and was co-owner of Stop-N-Chat, Inc., (Westmont) for over 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Alexander Parish for over 60 years and proud supporter of Catholic education sending all his children to St. Alexander Grade School and Montini Catholic High School.
Visitation Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022 from 3-8 PM at Steuerle Chapel, 350 S. Ardmore Ave Villa Park, IL. Visitation Friday Dec. 16, 2022, from 9:30-10:15 AM at St. Alexander Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 AM. Inurnment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
