Addison Mayor Rich Veenstra (at podium) and DuPage County officials, including DuPage County Board Chair Dan Cronin (far right) launched the 211 health and human service telephone referral system at a press conference in Wheaton on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The Addison Consolidated Dispatch Center will serve as the receiving point for 211 calls in DuPage County. The service provides 24 hour-a-day referrals for local services including mental health, addiction support and rehabilitation, crisis counseling, supplemental food programs, shelter and affordable housing options, employment and education support, financial support and more.
