Although The Outreach House opened its doors at its new home on Aug. 15 following several months of planning and organizing, the official grand opening took place Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 4. Staff, volunteers, community members, local officials and business leaders—as well as U.S. Rep. Sean Casten of the 6th Congressional District and 48th District State Rep. Terra Costa Howard—attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and were given a tour of the facility, located at 805 S. Main St. Above, Catherine Lynott, executive director of The Outreach House, does the honor of cutting the ribbon.
