WILLIAM H. BRUCE JR.
William H. Bruce Jr. (Bill), age 58, of Lombard passed away Thursday, September 15th, 2022.
Bill was a beloved partner to Pam; loving father to Alex, DJ, Bailey & Yeti; dearest son to Jane and William; fond brother to Pam; and a friend to many.
Bill was born September 15, 1964, in Antigo, Wisconsin. A lifelong Chicago sports fan, Bill spent his Sundays cheering on his Bears and whoever was playing the Green Bay Packers.
Bill graduated from Downers Grove North in 1982, spending the majority of his life in the Chicagoland area. An avid fan of Rick and Morty, Svengoolie, all things Syfy and astronomy. You could always find Bill, Bailey & Yeti at the nearest dog park enjoying the sunshine and the simple things in life.
Bill will be missed beyond measure by his family and friends. He will live on in the memory of those he loved. We take solace in the belief that wherever he is, he is happy and free from any of the constraints of this physical world and has found peace.
A private service was held on Thursday morning September 22, 2022.

VIRGINIA M. CORRADO
Virginia Mary Corrado, née Conroy, a longtime resident of Lombard, died September 17, 2022.
Virginia was the dear wife of 65 years to Valentine Corrado, who were married at St Catherine’s of Oak Park, IL, on June 30, 1957. She was the dear daughter to the late Thomas Benedictine Conroy and the late Adeline Conroy, née O’Neil; dear mother to John (Julie Hoffman) Corrado, Julie (Thomas) Schwerdtfeger and Thomas (Amy) Corrado; dear grandma to Mike, TJ, Joe, Nicole and Evan and great-grandma of seven.
Virginia loved playing bridge with her friends. Her great joy was being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.
Virginia liked to vacation on Marco Island, her favorite place to be.
Virginia lived in Lombard for over 55 years and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She read the Lombardian loyally every week. She was proud of her Irish heritage.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 3-8 p.m., at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, Illinois. Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Luncheon after the interment at Cooper’s Corner, 27W150 Roosevelt Road, Winfield.

SHERRY ANN GULBRANDSEN
Sherry Ann Gulbrandsen, née Fuller, age 75, of Lombard, formerly of Dalzell, Ill., died Aug. 29, 2022, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at 3 p.m. at New Hope Community Church, 230 W. Plymouth, Villa Park, IL 60181.

SHIRLEY KLIPPEL
Shirley Jean Klippel, age 86, formerly of Lombard, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 23, 2022.
Shirley was the loving wife of Brian; beloved mother of the late Patrick (Sandy), William (Terri), and Laura (Darren) Spero; cherished granny of Brian, Cassie, Taylor (Jacob), Harley, Brandon, Emma, McKenna, Alex, Josh, and Mitchell; and great granny of Xander and Olivia.
Born in Rensselaer, Indiana, Shirley attended high school in Lafayette and met her future husband during her senior year. They married on September 3, 1955, while both were students at Purdue University. Upon Brian’s graduation, they moved to Washington, D.C., Detroit, and Chicago before settling down in Lombard to raise a family.
While raising her kids, Shirley was active in the DuPage County Republican Women’s Club and volunteered at numerous non-profit organizations including PADS, Lombard Jaycees, and the YMCA. Later she was a travel agent before joining the office of Congressman Henry Hyde. All the while, she was involved with her kids and their activities too.
She was a wealth of knowledge. If you needed to know something, you called her. She always had the answer. She was also selfless to a fault. Always more concerned about others than herself.
She had a passion for cooking, reading, and watching movies from the golden age of Hollywood. She really enjoyed talking movies with her son Bill.
Shirley loved spending time with all her family. From planning family vacations to making her famous sloppy Joes for her son’s restaurant, she enjoyed having her finger on the pulse. She took great pride in seeing her grandchildren become adults and absolutely adored her great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a family that will cherish her memory forever.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment followed at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

DIANE M. PLOTKE
Diane M. Plotke, age 68, of Lombard, formerly of Chicago, passed away on September 21, 2022.
Diane was the beloved wife of 27 years of the late Thomas J. Schultz, whom she had been friends with since high school.
She was the dear sister of Thomas (Susan) Plotke, Richard (Kathy) Plotke, and Ann Plotke; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews; and fond daughter of the late Stanley Plotke Jr. and Adeline Plotke née Manijak.
Diane was a loyal fan of Chicago sports teams, especially the Chicago Bears, and would always root against the Green Bay Packers. She was also a die-hard Cubs fan. She was an avid reader and fond of animals. Spending time with family was important to Diane; she enjoyed celebrating the holidays together and looked forward to family dinners. She loved going to craft fairs.

DONNA LEE RAYSBY
Donna Lee Raysby (Olsen), wife of the late William Karl Raysby, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept.19, 2022, at the age of 83.
There are no public funeral plans at this time.
