Police arrest 2 suspects for catalytic converter theft.

On Sept. 1, Elmhurst Police detectives arrested 2 suspects for the commission of catalytic converter theft.  The theft occurred in DuPage County and officers took the suspects into custody near Cicero and Erie streets in Chicago.

At 2:01 p.m., a marked Elmhurst Police car was transporting one of the arrested suspects back to Elmhurst near westbound I-290, just before Austin.  The prisoner kicked out the back window of the police car, exited, and ran from the scene.

The transporting police officer lost sight of the prisoner in the woods along the south side of the Columbus Park Golf Course.  Police are looking for Devin M. Revels, Age 27, a black male, 5’11” tall, 160 lbs, with a face tattoo.  He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and was handcuffed.

Elmhurst Police and Chicago Police searched the area with police K-9s and a helicopter.  Anyone with information of the whereabouts of Revels is asked to call 911 immediately.
