JOSEPH G. BALSAMO
Joseph G. Balsamo, age 84, of Lombard, passed away on June 27th, 2022.
Joseph was the beloved husband of 63 years to Suzanne, née Lofbig, loving father of Diane (Rev. Mark) Frusit of Streamwood, Tina (Mark) Weatherhead of Woodridge, Joseph W. (Michele) of Arizona. Grandfather of Isaac, Eva (Zach) Breitenbach, Elizabeth Apollos, Mark (Christina), Susanna, Ashley, Joel; step-grandfather of Tiffany, Erika, Madison Jones; great-grandfather of M.J. and Leo Ace; dear brother of Salvatore J. Balsamo; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Joseph grew up in Chicago and was a resident of Lombard for 57 years. He attended Austin High School and the Art Institute of Chicago.
Joseph was an Engineer Draftsman and a Cartographer who created the maps for Lombard and the Western Suburbs. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, especially gardening, camping, and family outings. He enjoyed attending concerts in the park, and car shows, and spent much of his additional free time drawing and creating art.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, July 16th, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln St, Lombard.

MARGARET C. BARRY
Margaret C. “Peggy” Barry, 81, of Aurora and formerly of Lombard, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born March 29, 1941, in Evergreen Park, the daughter of Wallace and Cecelia (Corbett) Phelps. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Chicago in 1959.
Peggy married Laurence A. Barry November 5, 1960, in Chicago. Her full time job was being a mother to her 7 children. She also found time to volunteer at St. Pius X Church in Lombard, where she was involved in fundraisers such as the showcase and campfire girls. She also volunteered for the Ray Graham Association for the Disabled and Focus on the Family Marriage Counseling.
She was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church in Aurora where she served on the stewardship and altar decorating committees.
Peggy was a protective mother who instilled values of faith, independence and self-worth in her children. She exuded common sense and wisdom. She has always been family oriented and supportive of her siblings. Peggy loved the Lord, the Blessed Mother and life!
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Larry; her daughter Margaret “Peggy” Barry; two sisters Mary Louise Rogas and Ruth Lamaster; four brothers Richard Wallace Phelps, Paul Phelps, Dr. James Phelps and Kenneth Phelps.
Survivors include her five daughters Kathleen Barry of Aurora, Elaine Barry of Orlando, FL, Maureen (Ed) Vanscoit of Aurora, Eileen Barry of Aurora, and Colleen Barry of Pensacola, Florida; one son Larry (Annie) Barry of Gurnee; 16 grandchildren; her brother Robert Phelps of Timonium, Maryland; sisters-in-law Helen (Barry) Siragusa of Winthrop, Maine, Sylvia Barry of Wheatfield , New York and Carol Phelps of Evergreen Park; her brother in law Kevin Sipple of Los Angeles, California; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and Godchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, 750 Old Indian Trail, Aurora with Fr. Alex Parafina and Fr. Bob Willhite concelebrating.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. 630-631-5500. Visitation will also be on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service in the church.

TERESA HESCOTT
Teresa Hescott of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Mexico City, passed away December 18, 2020.
Teresa was the beloved wife of 41 years to the late Ronald Hescott, loving mother to David Hescott and Noelle Hescott; adored abuela of Irisa, Ketura and Grant; fond great-grandmother of Micah; fond sister of Coco Rodriguez; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews; and devoted relative and friend to many.
Teresa enjoyed volunteering at the Catholic church in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She owned and operated DuPage Travel in downtown Glen Ellyn for 15 years. She loved travelling with family throughout Mexico and all over the world. She loved sewing and cooking and was amazing at both of them.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Entombment of Cremains will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
