• Join the Elmhurst Fire and Police Departments for Bike Ride & Safety Day at Wild Meadows Trace, York & the Prairie Path, just north of Vallette. Choose from two sessions: 9-11 a.m. or 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. There will be bike safety checks, helmet fittings, then a 3-mile ride along the Prairie Path. • At 2 p.m., the Elmhurst History Museum and the Elmhurst Public Library will present a free program called “Stories and Stones” at the library, 125 So. Prospect. Storyteller Marilyn Kinsella presents traditional Native American stories along with a demonstration of tools such as bows, arrows and more. Led by Grand Marshal Robert Fonzino, some 75 entries will march in Elmhurst’s 104th annual Memorial Day Parade through downtown Elmhurst, stepping off at 9:30 a.m. The parade will end near the Veterans Memorial in Wilder Park, where a Memorial Day military ceremony will be held.

General Primary Election takes place. Early voting is available at the DuPage Fairgrounds, as of May 19. Beginning June 13, 22 more Early Voting sites will be open.

• By All Accounts: The Story of Elmhurst
Experience local history through an award-winning exhibit about how the City of Elmhurst grew and developed over the years, including a history of the Glos Mansion and family. Elmhurst History Museum, 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst.
• The Elmhurst History Museum at 120 E. Park Ave. in downtown Elmhurst, will use an archaeological lens to gain a deeper understanding of the vibrant Native cultures and communities of the earliest inhabitants in their latest exhibit, People of the Prairie: 12,000 Years in DuPage County.
