Timothy Christian to break ground on $7 million stadium complex

On Monday morning the Elmhurst Independent learned that Timothy Christian Schools would be hosting a groundbreaking celebration on Saturday, May 7 from 5-9 p.m.

The private, nondenominational school, located on 23-acres in south Elmhurst is building a $7 million soccer and track stadium that will put them among the elite for sport complexes. The new stadium will include artificial turf, lighting, sound, press box, tennis courts, eight-lane track, and seats for nearly 1,000 fans. The project also includes Trojan Lane, which will open up ingress and egress to Euclid and Harvard to our east.

School officials said the project will be fully-funded and Timothy Christian Schools will remain debt free.

Timothy Christian Schools boys soccer team was 4th in State this year, the girls soccer team was 2nd in State last year, and our girls tennis team was 3rd in State.
