Marie Franc, of Elmhurst, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 at the age of 97. She was the beloved wife of late husbands Elmer Pierce Jr. and Robert Franc. She is survived by daughter Patricia Pierce Martin and son Victor Franc; grandchildren John, Tara, Robert, Christopher, and Michael; great-grandchildren Amelia, Eric, Palmer, Benjamin, Jackson, and Caitlynn; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marie was a gregarious addition to any social gathering. For years, she was a cherished member of the Elmhurst Choraliers, the Elmhurst Newcomers Club, and a former President of the Elmhurst American Legion Auxiliary. Marie loved spending her extra free time claiming her status as a contract Bridge ‘Life Master,’ and travelling the world. Later in her life, Marie was mentioned as being DuPage County Care Center’s favorite resident, as she was always happy and appreciative of their wonderful care. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Staff and Social Services at the DuPage County Care Center.
Marie took pride in her career as a secretary for many notable offices throughout the Elmhurst area. She was the treasured secretary to late Attorney Judge Kenneth Moy, as well as to the President of the Elmhurst National Bank.
