Jeanette “Jan” Pauli, 88

Jeanette Mary Pauli (nee Doering), a resident of Estero, Fla., formally of Bloomingdale, Ill., passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 4, at home in Estero, Fla., surrounded by family at the age of 88. Jan was born in Davenport, Ia. and graduated from Davenport High School, also earned her B.A. from Northeastern Illinois University located in Chicago.

Jan and her husband Bob owned multiple service stations throughout the Chicago suburbs, operated as a family business, including a station on York Road in Elmhurst. Jan was an active member in several communities Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs and many additional community service organizations.

Jan had many hobbies and interests, too many to list individually, but some included: golf, reading, FGCU Woman’s Basketball and world traveling including trips to China, South America and Africa. She was a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and enjoyed sailing on Lake Geneva. Jan was the author of many Turkey notes, a family tradition – unlike any other!

Jan was a vibrant person who lived and loved life to the fullest. She will be truly missed by everyone who ever had the joy to have met her.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Julia Doering (nee Eldridge); her husband, Robert; her husband, Thomas Klug; brother Donald; and half-brother, Richard. She is survived by her loving children, Scot (Frannie), Anne (Jack) Spencer, Chuck (Lynn) and Judi (Jim) Cuthbert. Cherished grandmother to Jim (Gina) Spencer, Joni (Chris) Kendrick, Amanda and Christopher Pauli, Jimmy, Jonny and Jessica Cuthbert. Great-grandmother of Noïal, Élan, and Lovam Randelli.
