• From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Frick Center, Alexander Room, Elmhurst University will host a blood drive. Appointments encouraged, walk-ins welcome. Donors should eat healthy, drink plenty of water, limit energy drinks and be well-rested. All donors will receive a $10 e-gift card that can be used at a variety of stores.

• At 7:30 p.m., Elmhurst University presents the Late Night Blues Vocal Jazz Ensemble in a Benefit Concert for Ukraine featuring artists Jess Brooks, Lewis Achenbach and Kristin Wenc at Elmhurst Hall, 119 No. York St. Free and open to the public.

York High School drama proudly presents Godspell on April 28, 29, 30 at 7:30 p.m. and May 1 at 2 p.m. in the Baker Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and go on sale Monday, April 18 at 9 a.m. at www.yorkdrama.org.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, the Elmhurst Art Museum and RGL Marketing for the Arts presents the 25th Annual Art in Wilder Park event in conjunction with the Elmhurst Park District. The event features more than 125 exhibitors including local artists, musical acts, food vendors, a Kids Court for family activities and more. • From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the First Congregational Church, 235 S. Kenilworth, will be host its annual Green Garden Fair.  Pick up pre-ordered certified organic vegetable and herb seedlings and/or purchase more. Purchase organic growing mix and compost, learn how to live more sustainably from a variety of “green” exhibitors such as the Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition and the University of Ill. • Beginning at 7 p.m., the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra will present “Orchestral Brilliance” featuring percussionist She-e Wu at the Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, located at 149 W. Brush Hill Rd in Elmhurst. The church has accessible facilities and free parking. Behind the Music Stand lecture led by audience favorite Dr. Ted Hatmaker will take place at 5:45 p.m. prior to the concert. Tickets are $35 for adults, $32 for seniors, and $12 for students (school-age or college with ID) and can be purchased at elmhurstsymphony.org or by calling 630-941-0202. • At 7 p.m., Music@Bethel presents a jazz performance by the Alyssa Allgood Quartet at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 East St. Charles Rd. Tickets are $20 available on Eventbrite or at the door. At 7 p.m., there will be free Medicare education for those who are turning 65 or for people who would like additional information outside of the Medicare open enrollment period in the fall. • From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Crestview Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale – rain or shine — at its new location – The Depot at Wild Meadows Trace, 511 So. York, near the Prairie Path, just north of Vallette St. There will be 1200 plants from 130+ varieties, plus house plants, wind chimes, honey from a beekeeper, much more. Personal checks, cash, major credit cards accepted.

• Beginning at 11:30 a.m., the Spring Road Pet Parade will take place, stepping off from Silverado Grill sharply at 1 p.m., where the parade will end and pet tricks will begin. Sign up at springroad.com/our-events/. Free and open to the public.

From 1-5 p.m., the Elmhurst Art Museum and the Elmhurst History Museum are coming together for Elmhurst Museum Day, when visitors are invited to explore exhibits and participate in free family-friendly activities at each museum. Visitors are invited to park at one location and walk or board the free Explore Elmhurst trolley. Limited free parking is available at each museum. Storyteller Marilyn Kinsella presents traditional Native American stories along with a demonstration of tools such as bows, arrows and more. Elmhurst History Museum

Ongoing programs:

Now through May 6, the Elmhurst History Museum presents Carl Sandburg: Poet, Politician and Prophet, a free online pre-recorded lecture presented by Sandburg scholar Lawrence Webb in honor of National Poetry Month. • By All Accounts: The Story of Elmhurst

Experience local history through an award-winning exhibit about how the City of Elmhurst grew and developed over the years, including a history of the Glos Mansion and family. Elmhurst History Museum, 120 E. Park Ave., Elmhurst.

• The Elmhurst History Museum at 120 E. Park Ave. in downtown Elmhurst, will use an archaeological lens to gain a deeper understanding of the vibrant Native cultures and communities of the earliest inhabitants in their latest exhibit, People of the Prairie: 12,000 Years in DuPage County.
