The Lombard Junior Women’s Club (LJWC) selected the members of the 2022 Lilac Court on Sunday, March 6. Pictured left to right are: Princess Felicity Abbott (a junior at Glenbard South High School), Princess Kayla Hickman (a sophomore at Glenbard East High School), Princess Katy Nairn (a senior at Fenwick High School), Princess Allison O’Callaghan (a junior at Glenbard East High School) and Princess Caitlyn Oliva (a sophomore at College of DuPage). The LJWC conducted its annual Lilac Princess Program Preliminary Judging earlier in the day at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. A panel of three unbiased judges who neither live nor work in Lombard selected the 2022 Lilac Court from a field of 14 contestants. The five princesses went to the LJWC’s clubhouse in Eastgate Shopping Center on Sunday evening for their orientation. Each princess will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarships are funded in part by the Village of Lombard Local Tourism Grant Program. One of the princesses will be crowned the 2022 Lilac Queen during the coronation ceremony at Lilacia Park on Sunday, May 1.
