Paul George Bunyon transitioned March 25, 2022, at the age of 79. He settled in Addison in 1969. Big Paul was born as George Mullis in Monroe, No. Carolina. He legally changed his name after he retired as a professional basketball player, playing for the Washington Generals, the opposition of the Harlem Globetrotters. He was also a sparring partner for Muhammad Ali. He was one of ten children; his parents are Chonce and Ercel Mullis. His siblings Roy, Lela, James, Chonce Jr., Edith, Buren, Hazelene, Hubert and Wayne. His four sons were Kevin, William, Timothy and Wayne (Teresa). Grandchildren were Thaddeus, Christina, Selena Ann, Christian, Charlese, Cameron, Gia. Great-grandchildren Matic, Carmelo and Noah.
