Richard Alan Nunemaker passed away on January 27, 2022, in Chandler, Ariz., at the age of 73. He was a lifetime resident of Elmhurst, and of Lake Geneva, Wisc., and Sun Lakes, Ariz.
Richard was a longtime member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, former CFO of Varlen Corp., a 1966 graduate of York High School, he received his Master of Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is an alumnus of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He enjoyed spending days boating on Geneva Lake, golfing at Old Wayne Golf Club, being a member of the Sun Lakes Pickleball Club, playing the trumpet in the New Horizons Band DuPage, and traveling the world with his wife and friends. His absolute joy was watching his four grandchildren grow and achieve many accomplishments in school and sports.
Beloved husband of 51 years of his high school sweetheart, Jane Fogle Nunemaker; loving father of Bradley (Krista) of Elmhurst and Scott (Kira) of Chandler, Ariz.; proud grandfather of Kyle, Carter, Nixon, and Monroe Nunemaker; cherished son of the late Clifford Eugene (the late Bertha Rutt) Nunemaker, and the late Vivian Ruth nee Grandstaff; loving brother of the late John Eugene (Sally) Nunemaker; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
