Darrel A. Bugajsky, age 71, of Lombard, passed away on Jan. 15, 2022.
A Visitation will be held on Jan. 20, from 3-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Prayers will be held on Jan. 21, 2022, at 9:40 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:15 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 330 N Westmore Ave, Villa Park, with Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Road, Hillside.

DAVID L. FROHNAPFEL
David Lynn Frohnapfel, 77, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at home with family by his side.
Dave was born January 22, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio, to Hugh and Alta Frohnapfel. He grew up participating in many sports and playing with friends on The Mound in Moundsville, West Virginia. After returning from the Navy, Dave married Sally Kay Downs on July 11, 1970. The couple moved from WV to Chicagoland with Dave’s job and started a family.
Most of Dave and Sally’s married life was spent in Lombard. Dave transitioned from playing sports, to coaching his son and daughter in multiple activities, and then proudly watching his grandchildren participate in many sports. Dave loved following competitive sports and could often be heard from the sidelines. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and grew to love the Fighting Illini basketball team from the University of Illinois.
Dave enjoyed taking his family on road trips throughout the United States. The couple loved their beach days and spent vacation time in Michigan, South Carolina, and Florida. Dave and Sally relocated to Arizona in early 2021.
Dave is survived by his wife; two children, Brian (Jodi) Frohnapfel, Chatham, New Jersey; Leslie (Brian) Boston, Gilbert, Arizona; five grandchildren, Emma Frohnapfel, Carly Frohnapfel, Madison Frohnapfel, Mia Boston, and Brock Boston. In addition, Dave is survived by his younger siblings; Rick Frohnapfel, Sharon Freeman, and Ed Frohnapfel.

JACQUELINE T. KINDL
Jacqueline “Jackie” T. Kindl, née Toussaint, age 92, of Woodstock, IL, formerly of Lombard, died January 16, 2022.
Jackie was the beloved wife of the late William; loving mother of Brant (Sheryl) of Lombard, Kimberly (Mark) Krakowski of Ringwood, IL, Holly Johnson of Schaumburg, Blake (Mariel) Kindl of Huntley and Diedre (Russ) Grounds of Glendale Heights; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.
Jackie had been a resident of Lombard from 1954 until 2008. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst. Jackie was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was retired from the National College of Chiropractic.
As a mother, she was a lot of fun to be around. Jackie was an artist, writer and reader. She enjoyed traveling and sewing.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, January 29, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth Street, Lombard. Private Entombment at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.

MARY ELLEN MIKA.
Mary Ellen Mika (née Whelan) passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022.
Mary Ellen faced cancer with grace and courage, surpassing given odds, but ultimately losing the battle, with her family by her side. Mary Ellen was born in Chicago and attended Siena HS and Wright College. Early in her life, she was extremely fortunate to meet her lifelong partner in love, Ronald Mika. They would have shared their 58th wedding anniversary on February 01, 2022. Together Mary Ellen and Ron raised their eight children.
Family was the most important thing to Mary Ellen. Most of her life was dedicated to providing cherished memories for her family; attending events, vacationing, and enjoying day to day activities. Mary Ellen also worked full-time at Cottage Hill Transportation Company for 15 years. In addition, she enjoyed puzzles, quilting, camping, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and lots and lots of Dominos and card games.
Mary Ellen is survived by her loving husband, Ronald and her seven children: Constance Mika (Victor Salafatinos), Anne (Dave Rowland), Thomas Mika (Deborah), Mary Beth (Andrew Daum), Ronald Mika (Cheryl), Theresa (Michael Salek), and Margaret (Daniel Orlando). Mary Ellen is survived by her 20 grandchildren – Dave Rowland Jr. (Jacquelyn Romando), Elizabeth (Graham Atwater), Dan Rowland (Jessica), Rose (Ollie Threm), Christopher Roycroft, Troy Salafatinos, Jeremy Daum, Matthew Rowland (Natasha), Cole Salek, Zoe Salafatinos, Corey Roycroft, Austin Salek, Patrick Daum, Jackolyn Daum, Mikayla Mika, Pierce Salafatinos, Athena Salafatinos, Wyatt Salek, Lexi Mika and Max Salek. In addition, she is survived by 3 great grandchildren, William, Olivia and Ellis. her brother Jack Whelan (June), her-sister-in-law Joan Mika (Richard), her brother-in-laws Edward Mika(Susan) and James Mika (Jan), several nieces and nephews and her beloved furchild, Sandi.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Peter, her parents, Thomas Whelan and Elizabeth (Moriarty), and her sister Elizabeth Nilson (James).
A Catholic Funeral Ceremonial Mass was given on Wednesday, January 19, at St. Alexander Church 300 S. Cornell Ave., Villa Park, IL.

JOSEPH R. PIEKARSKI.
Joseph Robert Piekarski, 44, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14 at 6 a.m.
Services for Joe will be on Thursday, Jan. 20, beginning at 11 a.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, Ill. Burial will follow immediately after the visitation at Chapel Hill West in Oak Brook Terrace.

ARTHUR H. STILLWELL, JR.
Arthur Henry Stillwell, Jr., age 79, of Lake James, Fremont, Indiana, formerly of Villa Park, passed away peacefully at his home, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, with his family by his side.
He was born on January 5, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Arthur Henry and Ann Marie (Detloff) Stillwell.
Art married Wanda Galyean on December 17, 1975. in Wheaton, Illinois.
He was a police officer the for Villa Park, Illinois Police Department for 32 years, retiring in 2005.
Art was a longtime resident on Lake James, building his home on Lake James with many of his friends’ help.
He enjoyed boating, water skiing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda “Dolly” Stillwell of Lake James, Fremont, Indiana; children, Dawn Marie (Jim) Anderson of Houston, Texas, Julie Ann Stillwell of Knoxville, Tennessee, Mark Arthur (Karen) Stillwell of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Steven Arthur (Georgia) Stillwell of Aurora, Illinois, and David Allen Stillwell of Rockford, Illinois; eight grandchildren; sister, April Joy Herron of Lake James, Fremont, Indiana; and his beloved cat, Dickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Henry Stillwell and Ann Marie Stillwell, and sisters, Sharon Coase, and Patti Danford.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time in 2022.
