Harold “Harry” G. Samuel, a longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away at home January 22, 2022, at the age of 92. He retired after 42 years of work at General Electric before going on to work for more than 30 years at Elmhurst Auto Parts. He was an avid racquetball player, a recreational private pilot, and an automobile enthusiast. He also enjoyed tinkering on all kinds of small engines.
Beloved husband of 63 years to Frances Samuel née Dixon; loving father of the late Kevin (1981), Timothy (Christopher Gotschall), and Karen (Ron) Schnier; loved grandfather of Dawson and Savannah; son of the late Edward Albert Samuel and the late Carolyn (the late Bob) Strassinger; brother of the late Joan (the late Art) Beiner, the late Kenneth (the late Nancy) Samuel.
