COUNTRY Financial recently presented a $1,500 donation to Villa Park Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2801. Tyler Nelson (left) of COUNTRY Financial’s Carol Stream office is pictured with Daniel Thomas (right), the post’s quartermaster. COUNTRY Financial, which is based in Bloomington, made the donation as part of its Operation Helping Heroes program. The company, which also presented a check to the post in 2020, donated more than $3 million last year to organizations that support first responders and the military. The donations align with the company’s vision to enrich lives in the communities it serves. The Villa Park VFW post, which is located at 39 E. St. Charles Road, has been unable to hold several of its revenue-generating events since March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The recent donation from COUNTRY Financial will help to keep the post running.
