The Willowbrook girls volleyball team claimed an IHSA regional championship for the first time in program history on Oct 28. The Warriors defeated York 25-15, 25-16 in an IHSA Class 4A regional final in Villa Park. Members of the Willowbrook team are pictured with the regional plaque. The Warriors improved their overall season record to 35-1 with last week’s victory over the Dukes. Willowbrook advanced to the Bartlett Sectional. Two wins at the sectional would propel the Warriors to the Nov. 5 super-sectional at Mother McAuley High School in Chicago. The winner of that super-sectional will play at the IHSA state semifinals at Redbird Arena in Normal.
