Donna Jean Lichty, also known as “The Donut Lady,” a longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away Oct. 31, 2021 at the age of 96.
Donna loved to play card games, especially bridge. She also enjoyed square dancing, baking, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and traveling – she visited all 50 states and numerous countries.
Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Lichty (1999); loving mother of Linda (William) Hlavacek and Ron (Jeanie) Lichty; adored grandmother of Kristen (Kent Walczak) Hlavacek, Tricia (Kevin) Herward, Danielle (Brennan) Geis, Alexa (fiancé John Ziegenhorn) Lichty, and Jake (fiancé Johanna Sholar) Lichty; fond great-grandmother of Will and Declan Herward, and Brooks and Tyler Geis; daughter of the late Peter and the late Gladys Waldron; and sister of the late Gary Waldron.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – The Ahlgrim Chapel, 567, S. Spring Road, Elmhurst.
