MARILYN PHOEBE FERRIS
Marilyn Phoebe Ferris (née Collins) passed away at the age of 93 on Saturday, November 14, in her home surrounded with family. Marilyn is survived by her 10 children; Phoebe (Matt) Bachleda, Mark, Matt, Amy (Don) Pollack, Nora (Kraig) Sternquist, Hugh, Pat (Suzanne), Mike (Diane), Andy (Sheri) and Megan; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Ferris, and grandson Benjamin Bachleda.
Marilyn and Jim lived in Lombard for most of their 39-year marriage, raising their family and as active members of Sacred Heart Church. After Jim’s death, she moved to Naperville and attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church. There she co-founded the Prayer Shawl Ministry which was adopted by other parishes, sang with the choir, and served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She received her BSN from Marquette University in Milwaukee and worked in rural areas as a home health nurse, and later at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Marilyn’s love of life was infectious; she approached everything with kindness, patience, love and most of all humor. She was a wonderful woman of faith, family, and friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookline Road, in Naperville on Saturday, August 7, at 1:00 p.m. Private burial will follow.

THEDORA (TEDDIE) KNAPP
Passed on Sunday, July 11, at Seasons Hospice in Naperville. She was a 54-year resident of Lombard. She leaves behind her loving husband Richard, her son David Summers, her daughter Linnelle Summers and step-son Bryan Knapp. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was very active in her Christian life at First United Methodist Church of Lombard. She was an active member of United Methodist Women. She also served on the Administrated Board of the church, the Staff Parish Committee and Shepherding Committee.
Teddie served as Lay Delegate to the Northern Illinois Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church for over 20 years and was on the Lay Servant Academy Board of the Central Prairie District of The United Methodist Church. She was Lay Servant within the Church for over 20 years.
She was for many years an active member of the Ecumenical Cursillo Community of Illinois (ECCO-I) and along with her husband Richard had part in founding the Lutheran Marriage Encounter movement in the Chicago Area. She and her husband were privileged on 3 separate occasions to make presentations to the National Conference for Lutheran Marriage Encounter at Long Beach State University, Southwest Missouri State University and at Northern Illinois University.
Memorial Services will be held Aug.14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lombard. Face coverings required for worship attendance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to First United Methodist Church of Lombard.

William “Bill” Lindbeck, age 74, of North Aurora, died on July 23, 2021.
Visitation will take place Monday, August 2, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.

BARBARA J. MINSTER
Barbara J. Minster (née Fletcher), 68, of Downers Grove, died peacefully on July 25, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family.

TRACEY ANN WARD
Tracey Ann Ward, nee Mulvey, passed away after a short illness at the age of 49. Tracey was a graduate of York High School and she attended Marquette University before her position in the office for Plumbers Union Local 130. Tracey was the beloved mother of Donald J. “Donny” Ward; cherished daughter of Donald J. and Frances M. (nee Hennig) Mulvey; dear sister of Carolyn (John) Lubke and Don Mulvey, Jr. Tracey was a loving mother who loved watching Donny play baseball from his time in T-Ball all the way through high school.
