Active Senior Expo set for Wednesday, July 21

Active Senior Expo, an annual event “dedicated to inform, educate and entertain senior citizens,” will be held on Wednesday, July 21 at Abbington Banquets, 3S002 IL Route 53 in Glen Ellyn (corner of Route 53 and Butterfield Road). Show hours are 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Active Senior Expo features hundreds of products and services designed specifically for seniors. Offerings include health care, retirement communities, assisted living, financial, insurance, legal, estate planning, home care, travel, consumer products, government programs and more.

Special attractions include free health screenings and door prize drawings. Live entertainment will be presented at 11:30 a.m. Required COVID-19 safety measures will in place.

The following seminars are free for all attendees:

10 a.m. — Tips To Prevent Consumer Fraud, presented by Illinois Attorney General

11 a.m. — Medicare Basics, presented by WellCare Health Plans

12 noon — Free Joint Pain Seminar, presented by Stryker Orthopaedics

No registration is required and regular admission to the event is $2. However, free admission coupons are widely available and attendees can obtain a free admission coupon by visiting www.activeseniorexpo.net. Parking is free.
