Saturday, March 6, was a sunny day, with temperatures over 40 degrees, drawing people and wildlife to Madison Meadow park for recreational activities. Even though it says no skating or swimming, these geese (top photo) appeared to have ignored the signs in favor of an afternoon cruise around the pond. On the other hand, these ducks (bottom left photo) were more hesitant about breaking the rules; instead choosing to take their swim somewhat hidden under the tree branches to avoid getting “caught.” And speaking of spring, Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 14, when we turn the clocks ahead one hour. The first day of spring is Saturday, March 20.
