The Willowbrook High School dance team qualified for the 2021 IHSA Competitive Dance State Meet by placing among the top six teams in its 14-team level at the recent Mascoutah Sectional. That sectional took place virtually, with each team recording its performance at its own school and submitting the recording to a panel of judges. Willowbrook received a score of 79.95 in the sectional to earn a fourth-place finish in its level. The state meet was also a virtual event. The Willowbrook team recorded its state-meet performance in the school’s main gymnasium on March 2. The photo shows members of the team during that performance. The results of the state meet were announced on Saturday, March 6. Willowbrook earned a score of 82.84 and placed 16th out of 30 teams in the state meet’s 2A division.
