The Villa Park Parks and Recreation Department held its inaugural Dog Gone Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 20, outside of the Iowa Community Center. Residents brought their dogs to the event to hunt for dog-friendly treats. Pictured (left to right) with Rocco are the Faillo sisters of Villa Park—Francesca (left) and Vivianna (right)—along with Deanna Lamphere (middle). Rudy O’Donnell, a certified dog trainer who teaches dog obedience classes at the community center, facilitated the Dog Gone Egg Hunt. Dogs who found a golden egg during the hunt won a free training session with O’Donnell. The parks and recreation department’s next set of Wednesday-night dog obedience classes with O’Donnell begins May 5. For more information, call 630-834-8970.
