Ida Marie Gannon, nee Krause, of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 80. Longtime prolific musician and teacher with experience at Visitation and Immaculate Conception Parishes and Grade Schools, Elmhurst, St. John the Baptist Parish, Winfield; Choir director, ensemble director and active member of “Far From Broadway” events at Visitation Parish; accomplished pianist, guitarist and harpist; beloved wife of Terry; loving mother of Kathleen Alcozer, Aileen (Bruce) Eilert, Colleen Gannon, Doreen (Steve) Hendrickson, Daniel (Gretchen) Gannon, Maureen (Jim) Karwowski and Timothy (Sherri) Gannon; cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of eight; dear sister of Dean (the late Mary) Krause. Visitation and Funeral Mass will be private and for family only. A live stream of the Funeral Mass will be available on the funeral home website to view beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 30.
