Carol Bauer, Village of Lombard executive coordinator and blood drive coordinator, recently received a plaque and an award of recognition for organizing blood drives for Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. Bauer (right) is shown with Camille Piazza, Versiti Blood Center of Illinois account representative, with a 2020 certificate of appreciation for organizing blood drives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Piazza said the plaque represents “a perseverance award for her achievements during the course of the year.” Also pictured is an award Bauer received as a 2019 top host coordinator.
