Rosemary H. Bajek, age 90, of Lombard, passed away November 1, 2020.
Funeral Services will be held today, Thursday, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Rosemary is the beloved wife of 53 years of the late Walter; loving mother of Amanda “Mandy” (Steven) Harnack of Glen Ellyn and Elizabeth “Betsy” Bajek of Lombard; cherished grandmother of Ariel Basham of Carol Stream, Arron Basham of Carol Stream, and Serena Harnack of Nashville; dear sister of the late William (Ada Mae) Hackworth of Tenn; and sister-in-law of Robert (the late Anne) Bajek of Channahon, IL; fond aunt of six; great aunt of many.
Rosemary was a resident of Lombard for 65 years. She was a member of the Lombard Service League and a volunteer at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Guild. Rosemary was an active member of the PTA and Girl Scouts when her daughters were young.
Rosemary was an active member of Sacred Heart. She was a former CCW member there. She loved to travel and traveled worldwide.

Mary Lou Dunning, nee Posey, of Villa Park, passed away recently at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late James L. Loving mother of James (Kelly), Michael (Gayle), David (Toni) and Julie (Randy) Lantz. Cherished grandmother of Lisa, David, Megan, Russell, Jon, Tara, Vanessa, Michael, and the late Travis. Michelle Iwinski, nee Harris, age 52, of Lombard, died November 1 at Northwestern Hospital.
Michelle was the loving wife of 26 years of Brian E.; dearest mother of Katherine of Lombard, Michael “Cal” of Lombard and Lauren of Lombard; dearest daughter of Carolyn (Frank) Whiteside of Texas and James (Linda) Harris of Indiana; dear sister of Curtis Cheney of Texas and Kimberly Proehl of Indiana; fond aunt of six; daughter-in-law of Joan Iwinski of Huntley.
Michelle had been a resident of Lombard for 24 years, since 1996. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1986 and received a degree in Journalism in 1996 from Columbia College.
Michelle had been very active in Lombard. She was a part of MOPS, Parkview School PTA and Glenn Westlake PTA. She was the Chair of Halloween Night for 3 years at Parkview School, where she was known as the “Queen of Halloween.”
Michelle was the former Executive Director for the Lombard Town Centre, and Business Manager for the Tri Town YMCA.
Michelle was very interested in genealogy and she enjoyed travelling.
A Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, from 4-9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. A Family Funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lombard.

William Robert McCarty, age 81, of Elburn, and formerly of Lombard, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 31, 2020.

William was the loving husband of Mary E. McCarty nee Perso; beloved father of Kimberly Fallbacher, Shawn McCarty, Kelly McCarty, Kari (Mike) Ploke; loving papa of Amanda, Richard, Megan, Mary, Kylee, Joey, Macklen, Taylor, Matthew, and Joshua; proud great-papa of Madison and Grayson; dear brother of the late Mary, the late Patricia, Ronald (Linda), the late Gloria, the late Mike, and Maria; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
William was proud of his American Indian heritage. He will be missed by many family members and friends.

Richard J. Rardin, age 94, of Lombard passed away October 26, 2020.
Family Funeral Services were held October 30 at First United Methodist Church Interment followed at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
Richard was the beloved husband of Shirley nee Kajer; loving father of the late Kathy (Jack) Baker of Lombard, Karen (Mike) Legler of Hanover Park, Rick (Sheryl) of Texas, Larry (Lauren) of Colorado; cherished grandfather of 13; great-grandfather of 33; and dear brother of Maurice “Butch” (Miriam) Crusing. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Rardin and Elizabeth Lippner Crusing, his brothers Arthur, Albert, and sister, Shirley Jansen; and his stepfather Morris Crusing.
Richard was a resident of Lombard for 69 years in the home he built. He was married for 73 years. He was an active parishioner of First United Methodist Church where he was an usher and a member of the Men’s Club.
Richard used his artistic talent to create and produce cardboard displays for advertising many products.
Richard enjoyed traveling and loved his family.

Frances P. Straka nee Monteleone, age 98, of Lombard for 68 years, died October 28, 2020.
Frances was the beloved wife of 62 years, of the late Edward L.; loving mother of Camille (Albert) Brito of Pingree Grove, Janet (the late John) of Wheaton and Robert (Marquetta) of Carol Stream; cherished grandmother of Michael (Mary Ann) Brito of Sycamore, Jeffrey (Melissa) Brito of South Elgin, Gary (Aimee) Brito of Montgomery and Christine (Justin) Tait of Pingree Grove; great-grandmother of 9; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Russell Larson.
Frances had been a resident of Lombard from 1952-2020.She was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Church.
Frances was a great cook, baker, gardener and seamstress.
Due to COVID restrictions, family visitation and Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church will be private. Entombment will follow at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, Wheaton, IL.
