Battery alleged at fitness center

Police were dispatched to a fitness facility in the 600 block of N. York at around 5:02 p.m. on July 16 on the report of a battery that had just occurred. The victim told police that he observed the suspect upstairs, standing in front of his girlfriend as he was extending his middle finger and swore at her. The suspect came downstairs, approached the victim, slapped him in the face with an open hand, and left the scene in the suspect vehicle. This case is pending investigation.

Suspect in restaurant causes scene, throws chairs

On July 17, a complainant at a restaurant in the 500 block of W. Lake told police at around 8:09 p.m. that a suspect came into the business, harassed an employee, caused a scene in front of customers and threw chairs on the ground. No property was damaged, but the complainant asked the officer to serve the subject with a no-trespass notice.

Victim claims boyfriend pulled hair, grabbed her by neck

An 18-year-old Lombard man was charged with domestic battery, no valid driver’s license and speeding near North and Willow at around 11:59 p.m. on July 16. Police said that subsequent to a traffic stop for speeding, an officer observed the passenger was crying and had several pieces of hair lying across her lap. The victim related that her boyfriend, the suspect, pulled her hair and grabbed her by the neck.

Pharmacist suspects forgery when doctors’ signatures don’t match

On July 14, forgery was reported at an orthopedic specialist in the 300 block of W. Butterfield at around 3:34 p.m. A complainant told police she was notified by a pharmacy that the suspect presented a prescription for Hydrocodone and the doctor’s signature did not match the signature they had on file. The complainant advised the pharmacy that they did not issue the prescription. Investigation pending.
