Man charged with assault following alleged bar fight

On June 6, Ralph R. Storto, 33, of Addison, was charged with two counts of battery and criminal trespass to property at a restaurant/bar in the 100 block of N. York at around 7:30 p.m. Police said officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject, and upon arrival, observed a fight in progress. According to police, a victim related that Storto walked into the establishment without a facial mask, was asked to leave and shoved her out of his way to further gain access to the establishment. Another victim stated that Storto shoved him multiple times and a fight ensued, police said.

Police said that subsequent to a verbal argument at a gas station in the 600 block of W. North at around 9:40 a.m., the suspect pushed the victim twice after being provoked. An investigation is pending the review of surveillance footage.

Hotel guest reports suspect with gun

On June 5, police said officers responded for the report of a suspect with a gun, which was later reclassified as an assault investigation at a hotel in the 500 block of W. Grand at around 2:15 a.m. The complainant told police that there was an unknown suspect outside of her hotel room holding a knife. The suspect related that he was attempting to purchase marijuana from the victim and the victim attempted to rob him. Neither the complainant nor the suspect wished to pursue charges. Due to conflicting accounts of the incident, no arrests were made.

Bar fight ends with disorderly conduct citation

On June 11, Lee Sullivan, 34, of Elmhurst, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of N. Addison at around 3:12 a.m. Police said officers responded to the above location for the report of a fight that had just occurred. A reporting officer met with the victim who stated Sullivan spat at him after he asked him to be quiet, police said. The victim confronted Sullivan and a physical altercation ensued, according to police.

Alleged kidnapping found to be domestic incident

On June 5, police said officers responded to a report of a kidnapping near I-290 and York at around 11:51 p.m., which was determined to be a domestic battery and DUI that occurred within the jurisdiction of the Illinois State Police. State police arrived on scene and took over the investigation.
