Like many communities throughout DuPage County, Lombard was recently deluged with rain. On its Facebook page May 17, the village announced that Lombard had received 7.03 inches of rain between May 14 and May 17. This large lot (top photo) between two homes along Finley Road was draining Monday morning, but had been completely under water. Another photo (bottom) shows the flooded ground around Lombard Common’s Sunken Garden. There were several reports throughout the village of flooded streets, houses and parking lots.
