As of 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4, there were 3,743 total cases among DuPage County residents, including 197 deaths. Of those, 687 were outbreak-associated, while 3,056 were not. Since Sunday, there were 80 new cases and five deaths reported.
(Outbreak-associated cases are linked to a congregate setting, e.g., long-term care facilities, workplaces, schools, or large gathering, e.g., convention, concert.)
Regarding the 687 outbreak-associated cases (including 142 deaths) among DuPage County residents:
• 47 cases (including 11 deaths) are attributed to the Willowbrook long-term care facility (LTCF),
• 571 cases (including 131 deaths) are attributed to 54 additional LTCFs, and
• 69 cases are attributed to 29 outbreaks in other congregate settings and large gatherings.
DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) announces four additional deaths of persons with COVID-19 infection reported since Sunday:
• Male resident of DuPage County in his 50s with underlying conditions who had been living in the community;
• Male resident of DuPage County in his 60s with underlying conditions who had been living in the community;
• Male resident of a Naperville long-term care facility in his 90s with underlying conditions.
• Male resident of DuPage County in his 70s with underlying conditions who had been living in the community;.
• Female resident of Carol Stream long-term care facility in her 80s with underlying conditions.

At press time, the DuPage Department of Health reported the following number of COVID-19 cases in our readership communities as follows: Addison 323, Bensenville 253, Elmhurst 147, Lombard 143, Oakbrook Terrace 13, Villa Park 106, Wood Dale 73.
