The Villa Park Parks and Recreation Department normally holds its Bites with the Bunny event at the Iowa Community Center just before Easter. This year’s gathering at the community center was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the parks and recreation department managed to bring some joy to children by conducting a mobile egg hunt. The Bunny made 37 stops to Villa Park homes on Saturday, April 11, to drop off candy-stuffed eggs in a contact-free setting. In addition to receiving candy-stuffed eggs, houses with dogs received some eggs with dog treats. One photo shows Sophie and Matthew Blary with their mother—Sandy. Sophie (age 5) and Matthew (almost 7 years old) are shown waving to the Bunny. Another photo shows the Bodnars—Aidan (age 2) and Madilyn (age 4) with their father—Jim, after their visit from the Bunny.
