As of 11 a.m. on Monday, April 20, there were 1,759 total cases among DuPage County residents, including 94 deaths. Of those, 376 were outbreak-associated, while 1,383 were not. Since Saturday, there were 32 new cases and four deaths reported.
(Outbreak-associated cases are linked to a congregate setting, e.g., long-term care facilities, workplaces, schools, or large gathering, e.g., convention, concert.)
Regarding the 376 outbreak-associated cases (including 53 deaths) among DuPage County residents:
• 43 cases (including 10 deaths) are attributed to the Willowbrook long-term care facility (LTCF),
• 283 cases (including 43 deaths) are attributed to 32 additional LTCFs, and
• 50 cases are attributed to 21 outbreaks in other congregate settings and large gatherings.
DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) announces four additional deaths of persons with COVID-19 infection reported since Saturday:
• Female resident of a Burr Ridge long-term care facility in her 90s with underlying conditions,
• Female resident of a Wheaton long-term care facility in her 40s with underlying conditions,
• Male resident of a Westmore long-term care facility in his 70s with underlying conditions,
• Male resident of a Carol Stream long-term care facility in his 90s with underlying conditions.
• Male resident of a Wheaton long-term care facility in his 60s with underlying conditions.
• Female resident of a Naperville long-term care facility in her 70s with underlying conditions.
• Female resident of a Naperville long-term care facility in her 90s with underlying conditions.
