Linda Louise Zawada, 72, of Elmhurst, passed away on January 17, 2020, at the age of 72. She was born to parents Sophie, nee Schluntz, and Alfred Kuppinger in Chicago. Linda graduated from Lakeview High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Illinois – Chicago. She and her husband, Daniel, were married in 1976 in Chicago and together, raised two children, Angela and Michael, in Elmhurst. Linda devoted her life to raising her children, caring for pets and volunteering at her church, Bethany United Church of Christ in Chicago. She leaves a legacy of warmth and Christian acts that touched everyone she met.
Linda is survived by her husband Daniel of 43 years, daughter Angela (Ray), son Michael (Erin) and grandchildren Anna and Calvin.
Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 23 at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to meet for an interment at Skyline Memorial Park, 24800 S. Governors Highway in Monee.
