VIRGINIA DAICHENDT
Virginia Daichendt (nee Oehlerking), age 91, of Lombard, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2019.
Funeral Services were held Monday, December 9, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 410 Cross St., Wheaton. Interment was at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
Virginia was born in Mount Prospect, to Louis and Clara Oehlerking on July 20, 1928. She attended St. Paul Lutheran School and later graduated from Arlington High School.
She worked for Florsheim Shoe Company and later dedicated her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, traveling and making wonderful memories with her family and friends. Virginia was a very special person who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael, her parents, Louis and Clara, her brothers: Elmer, Melvin and Howard.
She is survived by her son, Alan; daughters, Kathy Ochromowicz, Lynette (Larry) Heiden, Kimberly (Tim) Parson; sisters, Bernice Oehlerking and Lorry Allers; six grandchildren, Lindsey, Larry, Michael, Melissa, Zach and Haley and four great grandchildren, Elijah, Wilder, Gwendolyn and Van.

WILLIAM F. FURLONG
William F. Furlong, of Villa Park, passed away recently at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Debra, nee Mueller. Loving father of Mark (Debbie) Thomas and the late Laura Furlong. Cherished grandfather of Skye, John, Hunter and Addison. Dearest son of the late John and Patrice Furlong. Fond brother of John “Jack” Furlong , Nancy (John) Dynkowski, Susan (Greg) Duffner, Mark Furlong, Patrice Mayer, Kathy (Dan) Fox, Matthew (Kelly) Furlong, Colleen Fahey, the late Terri St. Thomas, Janis (Bob) Dudzik and James Furlong. Dear uncle and great uncle of many.
Funeral services were held Tuesday Dec. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 S. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park. Interment St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Mt. Prospect. JOAN C. GOLDIN
Joan C. Goldin, age 79, passed away in Florida on November 27 surrounded by family.
She was born July 28, 1940, in Cincinnati to Robert and Claire (McCaffertty) Lienert.
Graduating from St. Augustine Academy in 1958. A few years later moved to Chicago where she managed the shoe department at Marshall Fields.
Joan had also worked as a driver’s license examiner for the Illinois Secretary of State office in Lombard and Naperville for many years.
Having moved to Lombard in January 1971 with her husband and children, she became involved in the community, Past President of the Lombard Jaycettes. Assisted in raising funds for the Lombard Log Cabin. Joan always loved traveling and roller coasters. You would usually find her working in the yard, tending the flowers in her spare time.
For the last 20 years she enjoyed playing Bingo, Bunco and slots at the Casino.
She leaves behind her husband, Bob; children Ron, Renee, Rebecca (John) Higgenson, Bob Jr. (Katy), Tony, Robin (Heather) and Chris; her beloved eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Joan’s life on December 21st at the Elmhurst Elks Lodge, 711 St. Charles Road, Elmhurst (northeast corner of Villa Avenue and St. Charles Road) from 2-5 p.m.

Harry H. Kuhrau, of Elmhurst, formerly of Niles, passed away recently at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Bernice, nee Jablonowski. Loving father of Nora Ann (Donald) Zabek, Sharon Rose (Thomas) Knudtson and Scott David (Laura) Kuhrau. Cherished grandfather of Samuel Benjamin (Katherine) Zabek, Nicole Jeanette (Scott) Hansen, Matthew Charles Frym, Arn Peter Knudtson, David Scott Kuhrau, Tiffany Claire Knudtson and Shannon Rose Kuhrau. Dearest son of the late Harry and Marie Kuhrau. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 4, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Richard C. Lux, age 78, of Villa Park, passed away Dec. 6, 2019.
