The Village of Lombard recently held its annual fall blood drive. The Nov. 13 blood drive, held at Lombard Village Hall two days after Veterans Day, honored veterans. The event also recognized former Lombard Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012. The donors included Jeff Swanson of Lombard (right), who is pictured with Tashari Parks of Versiti Blood Center of Illinois. Also pictured are (above right, left to right) Lombard residents Alex Kowalewski and Ana Ahlenius. The left photo shows donor Richard Aiello (left), an intern for Lombard’s cable access station. The drive, which took place at two locations—Village Hall and Yorktown Center—yielded 100 pints of blood.
