Willowbrook High School students and staff enjoyed a High School Nation concert outside of the school on Sept. 20. Hollister Co., a division of Abercrombie & Fitch, sponsors the High School Nation Tour. The tour aims to support creative expression among teens through musical festivals and programming. The tour will visit 40 high schools throughout the United States this fall. The tour’s performers at Friday’s concert included SOFI K (bottom left, facing the audience), Almost Monday, Micah Blu, Royse, Natalie Claro (upper right) and Emily Perry (bottom right). The upper left photo shows (left to right) Tom Higgenson and Tim Lopez of the Plain White T’s giving a special performance at the beginning of the concert. Higgenson graduated from Willowbrook in 1997—the year the Plain White T’s formed in Lombard. Along with holding the concert, Willowbrook will receive a donation package from Hollister Co. that includes professional recording equipment to be used by students.
